There’s a reason families choose to vacation in Branson. The charming town tucked in the Ozark Mountains offers activities for everyone — including your toddler. Once you try these fantastic things to do in Branson with toddlers, it’ll become your vacation destination for years to come.
If there’s one thing all kids seem to love, it’s animals. At Promised Land Zoo, they cater to families who want to not only see animals but learn about them as well. This family-owned zoo gives families a personalized and interactive experience bolstered by hands-on activities and experiences.
The Promised Land Zoo offers several different ticket types, Which one you choose will depend on how much time you have to spend at the zoo as well as how much money you want to pay. Do keep in mind, however, the more money you pay for a ticket the more hands-on experience you’ll get to have with animals.

The Best Experience includes:
Feeding the animals on the foot safari is sure to bring a smile to your kid’s face. Set up similar to a petting zoo, kids can not only feed these animals but get up-close to them for a truly interactive experience. While this alone makes Promised Land Zoo one of the top things to do in Branson with toddlers, we do recommend upgrading to one of the Better or Best Experiences. It’s hard to beat the animal encounters! During a recent visit, my family got to hold (and feed!) a baby kangaroo as well as feed a sloth. Memory making at its finest!
The animal shows, which are included with any visit, are a real highlight for toddlers, too. Zoo employees take time to teach about the animals at the zoo and give kids a chance to touch the animals, too. As a result, the shows are very engaging! Be sure to check out the show schedule when you arrive and play your activities around it.
You might not think a theme park would make the list of best things to do in Branson with toddlers. However, I hate to tell you, but you’re wrong. Yes, Silver Dollar City offers thrilling coasters and water rides that your toddler is not ready to ride. But, they also cater to the kid set with several sections of the park dedicated to families.
The best kid play areas at Silver Dollar City include:
This area features 10 fun and family-friendly attractions: six rides and four interactive play zones. With a theme geared towards honoring the service of volunteer fireman and fire services in general, Fireman’s Landing puts visitors to the test to see if they can be the newest recruit.
For families looking for things to do in Branson with toddlers at Silver Dollar City, this is one of the standouts of Fireman’s Landing. Divided into two sections, the Firefighter’s Fire Escape is designed especially for the youngest volunteers. This contained play area includes an exciting obstacle course for climbing as well as a soft play area for toddlers.
Lucky’s Dizzy Dogs
Race around a fire hydrant on Lucky’s Dizzy Dogs, a calm ride that spins and moves up and down much to kids’ delight. Children do need to be at least 36” to ride alone but can ride with a guest if they do not meet that height requirement.
The Grand Exposition
Picture this: A classic world’s fair with rides designed for families to enjoy together. That’s what the Grand Exposition at Silver Dollar City is all about. It’s also why it tops our list of things to do in Branson with toddlers.
This two-acre section of the park boasts 10 family rides that soar, whirl and fly. Most rides here have a similar height requirement but almost all can be enjoyed as long as kids are accompanied by an adult.
Kid favorites include:
Magnificent Wave Carousel
This high-flying journey will send you swinging up and out on a 40-foot flight above the treetops.
March your elephant round and round. You’re in control of how high you go, soar skyward or stay near the ground!
Grand Exposition Coaster
Thrilling young and old alike, this coaster dips, turns and flies 20 feet in the air at speeds up to 20mph.
Discover the depths of a rainforest jungle and butterfly exhibit at this interactive Branson attraction. As someone who’s been here solo and with kids, I can attest the experience is truly fun for all ages.
The highlight of any visit is the Botanical Garden, which is home to over 10,000 tropical butterflies. Watch as the butterflies flitter through the sky, then see if one will land on your hand or shoulder. There are nectar sticks available throughout the garden. Be sure to use these to entice the butterflies your way!
Of course, the adventure part of this attractions doesn’t disappoint either. Kids can Journey through the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze and Banyan Tree Bungee Adventure Maze. In addition, other animal encounters include frogs, birds, geckos and more.
Stampede is one of those shows the whole family can enjoy. For things to do in Branson with toddlers, I recommend this activity for the 3+ age. It requires sitting for 90 minutes or more. As a result, it’s more fun when a kid has a longer attention span.
The show itself is very captivating, though. With energetic music, corny yet funny jokes, and live animals, the production aims to keep everyone, including kids, entertained. Moreover, the fact the show is a competition gives kids the chance to cheer, yell and clap to their heart’s content. (The really like this part of the show!)
Do note that kids 3 and under are more than welcome to the show. A kid 2+ could totally enjoy this show, and at that age, they’re free if they sit on your lap (no meal included). With this in mind, you’ll have to be the judge as to when you think your kid will enjoy the show.
If you’re looking for things to do in Branson with toddlers during the summer season, don’t miss White Water. This 13-acre oasis is located in the heart of Branson, so it’s super easy to access. Plus, it has a section of the water park dedicated to little ones known as Coconut Cove.
White Water’s Coconut Cove features a brand new play area featuring interactive adventure for the smallest explorers! No one over 48” is allowed to use this section of the park, ensuring it remains little kid-friendly.
You know who loves dinosaurs? Toddlers! If you have a dino-loving kid in your crew, a visit to the Branson Dinosaur Museum should be on your itinerary. This Branson attraction offers educational and interactive experiences with some of the most incredible dinosaurs in history. As a result, guests can learn about each dinosaur’s habits, name origin and more, including the four-winged microrapter, the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex, and many others in the fossil exhibit and learning center.
Go high above the city of Branson in this 150-foot-tall Ferris Wheel. Ots 40 gondolas hold 240 riders, and it lights up the night with 16,000 LED lights. AT $10 or less per person (kids and under are free!) it’s a very affordable Branson activity.
Luckily, there are a lot of affordable places to stay in Branson. However, only a few pack an extra punch of fun into their amenities. Branson Water Park Hotels are ideal for families with kids, including toddlers, as they provide an additional way to have fun. Each facility offers unlimited water park admissions throughout your stay. As a result, you can swim, splash and play to your heart’s content!
The 10,000 sq foot indoor/outdoor Splash-A-Torium has a 117-foot waterslide and kids’ interactive splash zone!
Their waterpark features 150,000 gallons of splashtacular fun with two 500 gallon tipping buckets, multiple indoor and outdoor kiddie pools with rain showers, waterfalls and more!
Splash Country features a three-story indoor treehouse, complete with water slides, a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket, toddler pool, lazy river, and hot tubs, grill and more.
