New Attractions at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for 2019

Always at the forefront of innovation, Busch Gardens has added exceptional new experiences for the 2019 amusement park season. From entertainment to thrills, the new attractions at Busch Gardens Williamsburg do not disappoint.

Battle for Eire™ Opened

If you didn’t get the chance to visit the park in 2018, you haven’t ridden Battle for Eire yet! As announced in 2017, Battle For Eire™—Action VR Ride opened in 2018 in the Ireland section of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The ride follows a fiery fairy warrior named Addie as she fights to rescue the Heart of Eire, which (as legend has it) represents all of the magic in Ireland.

This state-of-the-art ride combines the traditional elements of a motion-based theater simulator with 360-degree virtual reality headsets for an immersive experience. As a result, riders feel as though they are part of the story through sight, sound, smell, and touch. In addition, Busch Gardens Williamsburg also offers the ride with a standard video for visitors who desire a traditional experience.

New Attractions at Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Finnegan’s Flyer

Get ready to soar to new heights in Ireland this year! The brand new Finnegan’s Flyer Screamin’ Swing ride boasts two pendulum arms seating a total of 32 riders. As the arms swing, riders fly higher and higher into the sky before reaching a mind-blowing 80+ feet in the air! This incredible ride also reaches speeds up to 45 mph and features stunning views of the landscaped theme park.
But don’t be fooled. Only the bravest can conquer Finnegan’s Flyer!

New Attractions at Water Country USA: Cutback Water Coaster

The fun doesn’t stop in 2019! Among the new attractions at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is the Cutback Water Coaster in Water Country USA.
This brand-new water coaster shatters records as Virginia’s first hybrid water coaster and the only RocketBLAST® coaster on the East Coast. Cutback Water Coaster combines a water jet propulsion system with a saucer feature for a ride unlike any other. You’ll fly through tight turns, steeper inclines, and dark tunnels for lightning fast drops and thrills.
