Was okay! There were several school groups there at the same time which made it extremely crowded. Laser tag and the flight simulators were the best parts.

"Overcrowded"
April, 2019 NEW
We've been to WonderWorks in Orlando, it was awesome. Myrtle Beach is overcrowded. We missed the hurricane attraction because they were out of clean glasses and wipes, we spent more time waiting to find help for the jammed ticket machine in the arcade, bubble lab was a joke, people that worked there were rude except in the cafe! Save your money!!!

Tip: It's hot, loud and overcrowded, more enjoyable for older kids, and not for anyone with sensory issues!!!

"Very good"

Wonderworks can sometimes disappoint if some of the items inside don’t work. This one is very clean and almost all of the items inside were working. They need to work on their 3D glasses or screen because it was very blurry this time.

"Very Stimulating, but long waits for major attractions"
August, 2018
The different attractions and stations were very stimulating, my children really did find everything pretty interesting. The only thing that was kind of annoying was that all the major attractions, such as the rope course, the 4D theater, and the two rides, and the laser tag all had an hour wait. The 4D movie was only 5 minutes in length and was cool, but still not worth the long line. The laser tag also only allowed 5 minutes (maybe less) of play per however many people, so again, not worth the long wait! The ropes course I would say was probably the only attraction that was actually worth the line. My family each completed it and were enjoying it for at least 20 minutes or so. We had planned for maybe 2 hours of fun, but we were actually there for 4 1/2 hours and 3 of those hours were spent waiting in line.

Tip: Plan for a day trip, not a few hours. You will have to wait in line in everything that is worth doing.

"Wonderworks"
August, 2018
We went to Wonderworks during the week and it was overcrowded. We didn't do half the stuff inside because lines were so long. It was rather smaller than I figured. The gravity bikes peddle on one side was messed up and they weren't telling people. Overall we had fun on the zip line and rope course outside.

"Overpriced science museum on steroids"

This is like a typical science museum found in many cities, but on steroids. There is some cool stuff but it is way over stimulating with lights and noise. We heard lots of crying kids. The big attractions - ropes course, roller coaster simulator, laser tag and 4D movie all had waits over one hour long (Granted, we were there on a rainy day with half of the state of SC it seemed). I think the tickets the were overpriced, too. Would I go back? No, checked that box on the bucket list for the kids and can say been there, done that, not again.

We had a lot of fun here on a rainy day. We were not able to do laser tag due to the long wait. However, they warned us of lines when we got tickets.

"Great Fun for the Kids! Adults? Maybe Not So Much"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

We happened to choose a day to visit when there were field trips. Not a great thing. I imagine the summer is about the same with all the tourists. IT IS LOUD! YOU DO NOT NEED MUSIC PLAYING! There is soooo much going on, so many noises, activities, and people, the constant music playing overhead really works on the nerves. My mother has sensory issues (hearing impairments), and she had to leave. So that was a huge waste of a ticket. Which leads to another issue: the price. There are many things to do, but my local children's museum has pretty comparable activities to do and it's only $6/ person. Not to mention several things are add-ons (more money) that aren't included in the ticket fee. I am blessed we found a Groupon and saved quite a bit! If you visit, CHECK GROUPON FIRST!!!! Now, what's here? The first floor has a rotating tunnel, a tornado-wind simulator, Tesla coil, an "Astronaut" experience (a sphere for 4 people to spin themselves silly), virtual sports, and "extreme" bikes (that swing back and forth -like the pirate ship at the fair). The second floor is laser tag (which one game was included in our ticket), it lasted about 5 minutes. The third floor had the bed of nails, music, forensic science, and the motion theater (which shows one of six 3D cartoons [with glasses] that you "move" with and lasts about 3-5 minutes??). And the fourth floor had space stuff -mostly interactive video or VR, arcade-type games, and the ropes course (extra $$).

"Busy, long wait. Worth the time. "

Stood for an hour in line outside and 20 minutes inside. After the wait inline, when we got in it was packed with people and some of the attractions were over an hour wait inside. We had my daughter in her wheelchair and it was ridiculous trying to get through all the people. But it was amazing inside, plan on 4+ hours to see everything. And the elevators make no sense, there are 2 elevators one takes you from the 1st floor to the 3rd the other goes from the 3rd floor to either the 2nd or 4th floor. After all was said and done we left early because it was to much on my daughter. But its a really cool place to go, if you dont have a wheelchair.
