We all enjoyed it. Except I do have one complaint, my son 39 inches was able to ride most the rides BUt the ONLY one he really wanted to ride (despicable me) had to be 40 inches.. so they wouldn’t allow him to ride. This was very disappointing. I do know it’s for safety but a lot of the rides there require an adult or really are a bit more for taller folk. But come on... the only ride he wanted to go on and looked forward to he was rejected and sadly disappointed. Other than that. We all enjoyed ourselves. The prices in the park for food is ridiculous. Drinks aren’t terribly priced at least not to someone who is used to these tourist attractions and such.

"Be a kid again!"
November, 2018
I had been to Universal Studios in Singapore and this was even better.

Great options in terms of dining, rides and entertainment.

Advise for people visiting -
1. If you want to cover all the rides and shows in one day, have a plan ready. You should reach before 10. There are some sites which give you the strategy.
2. Lots of water fountains around, stay hyderated
3. Prepare to walk a lot
4. Time your rides around shows
5. Try the single rider lane to save time
6. Do your shopping at the end
7. Eat during off peak hours.

All in all, it was a great day of entertainment. The only disappointment was that the Jurassic ride was closed.

"Better thanks to Reserve Los Angeles."
July, 2018
My daughter and I had a great time at Universal but it was extremely expensive. The discount tickets we got through ReserveLA made a huge difference.
The rides were fun, but if motion simulator rides make you nauseous, this isnt the park fir you. Even the backlot tour has replaced some of their "events" with motion simulators. Wizarding world of Harry Potter and the Simpson's sections were definitely highlights.

Tip: Bring sunscreen. Universal does a great job of providing shade, but the Southern California sun is deceptive. It doesn't feel that hot and the next thing you know your having your skin checked for melanoma.

"Our Universal Studios Visit"

Took my granddaughter to this park. It was a blast!! We spent 9 hours at the park and still didn't quite do everything. In hindsight, it would be more economical to get the express upgrade with your package instead of at the park. But in any case, we had a lot of fun!

"Great park! "
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

I've been to Universal Studios in Orlando in the past, and this one is smaller compared to the one in Orlando.. Either way, this park is great, we've been there a full day, from opening to closing and enjoyed ourselves very much. There are almost no roller-coasters.. And a very few thrill attractions.. But they have very spacial 3D attractions and the studio tour is wonderful!

"This Park Is Not Good if You Have Motion Sickness Issues"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed February 22, 2019 NEW
One of my favorite memories as a kid was visiting Universal Studios Hollywood on a family vacation. My husband and I were in LA for a few days and decided it would be fun to visit the park. I was disappointed to see that the vast majority of attractions are virtual reality based. Don't get me wrong--the park is wonderful and the technology is amazing. But virtual reality type rides are very hard for people who tend to get motion sickness. I miss regular rides. I was glad that the "old fashioned" tour was still going and they are still showing Jaws, the flash flood, etc. That was there when I was a kid and I hope it is there FORVER! It was also fun because we saw parts of the set for The Good Place--they had been filming it recently and we were actually watching that show at the time we visited. Overall we had fun, but we did skip some rides due to concerns about motion sicknenss. I will say that we paid for the upgraded passes to skip ahead in line and it was well worth the money for us.

Was a great place to visit with plenty to do for the whole family. The free tour is a must but could be scary in parts for small children. Food and drink can be expensive but you can find reasonable options.

"VIP tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed February 21, 2019 NEW
I initially cringed at the per ticket cost of the VIP experience at Universal studios Hollywood. This was my first visit so I had no idea what to expect. My GF and I took the VIP tour and I have to say it was worth every penny. Excellent checkin, continental breakfast in the VIP lounge, an excellent guide in a small group of 14 total, priority access (skip the line) to shows and rides, lunch included in a separate VIP restaurant, complimentary valet parking, and 6+ hours with a very knowledgeable guide (hey Maisha!) The value? Walking to the front of lines stretching in the hundreds of people with 60+ minute line times. Complimentary valet parking Breakfast Lunch Guide knowledge Access to stages and sets on the backlot. Pay the extra it’s worth it!
