They were doing construction on the end of the hotel! Which wouldn't normally be a problem but we were in the room at that end!! No sleeping in on this trip!! The clerk was smug, the house keeper couldn't understand English. The area behind the bathroom door had dirt and trash behind it!

Nice room and comfy beds. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the fireplace. Only thing is that they didn't clean our room or make our bed while we were out and about. I like my sheets to be clean and floor to be clean too.

I am very picky when it comes to booking rooms and read reviews. This had very good reviews mixed with a couple negatives. I was totally impressed with the room. I LOVE the cabin like features and rustic look. Being disabled, all King beds are on the main level which as a ramp and outside entry. Outside, it has a sitting area with one of the fire things. As one with back problems, you just never know what kind of bed it's going to be. I absolutely LOVED the bed!! It wasn't like laying in a pile of pillows where you sank down in the bed. It was firm enough but not like sleeping on a board. The only negative I would have would be the tub didn't drain very well, which it probably just needs cleaning out, which we told them about. I was VERY impressed. We were here for a church event and had a wonderful time. The breakfast is nice. It's just your simple breakfast, but had yogurt and fruit, which I love. Side note, they do charge for pets and double check when you check in that you don't have pets. We didn't but just wanted to make sure you knew that.

Got our room didn't go right in we went to eat and a short drive. Got back to the room turned the heat up and lights down the roaches started to come out. I went to the office there was nobody there and door was locked. There was a phone number on the door it was the island hotel they offered us a room there so I asked if I could look in the room first. I went to room 409 looked inside and found dirty wash cloth on the floor of the bathroom , so I said no thanks I asked for a refund of our money they said they couldn't do that till morning and gave us a phone number to call. So we went to another hotel that was very nice. We still have not got our money back from Timbers Lodge...... We will never stay here agin and tell anybody else to not stay there.

When we checked in we were greeted by a very nice friendly employee, apparently he's the only friendly person there. Upon entering our room we opened the fridge to put some drinks in and found 2 take out plates left by previous guests. Then we turned the lights and fans on but had to turn the fans off as they both knock from all the accumulated dust on them, so onto the bathrooms. Both bathrooms had pubic hairs in the tubs and the sinks had long black hairs on the counter top and dried soap where the counters had not even been wiped from previous guest. The back of both bathroom doors were spotted from shower water and had not been cleaned in sometime. The upstairs bathroom shower curtain had mold all along the bottom. The jacuzzi had soap and hair left in it also. The main level bathroom had dirty towels left in it upon entering the room. We had to track down the "cleaning" lady to get towels and she left garbage in the room after "cleaning". So on the second day we had to track the cleaning lady down again because she didn't leave towels in the upstairs bathroom, she also didn't clean our floor. The final day the cleaning lady didn't leave any wash clothes and was no where to be found this is when we found out the room phone didn't work as we tried to call the front desk to get these items. I thought I was getting a deal but this experience turned out different. We managed to enjoy our time in the mountains but we had to clean our own room and run towels down constantly. Fork out the few extra dollars and stay somewhere else.
