"Weekend Fun"

Really excited to stay abord this great ship! The room was nice, loved the old vents on the walls that worked & fresh breeze from the port hole. Bummed the walls were so thin i could hear the conversation in the next room but made do.

The 8pm. ghost tour was great!!! Loved going into lower parts of the ship!!!

We had the breakfast buffet the last day... hubby has been sick all day from it & the wait staff was rushing us to get our food, very disappointing

"Very Disappointed"

We were so looking forward to staying here but it was so disappointing. Staff was overwhelmed, inattentive and not real helpful. Parking was awful--full and nearly impossible to navigate to hotel spots. Room was cold, heat didn't work and several lights were burnt out. No option for dinner except formal restaurant. Charged a fee for wifi but it was awful. Had to evacuate hotel for fire drill at 9 pm. No staff to help us find exits. In fact, staff was pretty rude during this operation. Will not stay here again. Overpriced for what you get. Sad.

I came here with my and decided to do a ghost investigation. So I went in the cupboard and said say something three times. I heard a tap and panicked. Then I record my self talking to my friend. I heard a voice say "there is the sun" when I watched it back. I decided to take a picture with flash. I saw an orb and realised it was the same colour as my gram grams favourite outfit (blue and beige). He loved here. I cried myself to sleep.

"Christmas with the Queen"

A wonderfully sublime christmas getaway. We had been dreaming about staying on the Queen for decades, a gift for my family. We had a room with starboard portholes. We left one slightly ajar while we slept the room temp was perfect. We had two older family members with us, it made it hard to get to the upper decks from the room for them, we were right next to the service elevator near the back of the ship so they had to take a long hike to the other end to use the elevator- next time we will have to request a room closer to the main elevator, I can only hope it will be as wonderful this room was. Due to the long hike for them we missed alot of time on deck. It was still a beautiful way to spend Christmas with my family.

You instantly enter the history of fine travel on the high seas. The history also includes the intensity of a World War. You live in this history for the entirety of your stay. There is nothing quite like this. I've been coming aboard this ship since 1991. Unfortunately the quality of room maintenance has slipped. The availability and selection of on-board eating alternatives has diminished. And, as always, one has to contend with the fact the walls between rooms seem to be paper thin. This means you can experience the party or the conflict in the next room, as if you'd been invited into it, even though you haven't been.

It is obvious that this ship was very beautiful when it set sail in the 1930's, but it looks like they docked it, turned it into a hotel and never invested in any updates. The ship could use some maintenance and the rooms could use some renovation, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the onboard restaurant food was delicious, and this hotel/ship was literally five minutes from the Express ferry to Catalina Island. I travel quite a bit, thin walls and noise tend to be a problem at even some of the nicest hotels, I didn't find the noise to be any worse here than at other hotels. We stayed overnight, enjoyed a nice meal in one of the onboard restaurants then toured the ship. It was okay for the one day.
