"Weekend Fun"

Really excited to stay abord this great ship! The room was nice, loved the old vents on the walls that worked & fresh breeze from the port hole. Bummed the walls were so thin i could hear the conversation in the next room but made do.

The 8pm. ghost tour was great!!! Loved going into lower parts of the ship!!!

We had the breakfast buffet the last day... hubby has been sick all day from it & the wait staff was rushing us to get our food, very disappointing

Everything was wonderful, and the touring the ship was so fun. As a history buff it's rates supreme. Oh maybe replace the Starbucks with a local coffee shop, Starbucks are everywhere, and their coffee is not the best.

Loved the art deco style and all the wood and original amenities. Great local transportation. We will return. The ugrade to a king bed room is worth it. Large room with plenty of storage space. Staff is helpful and gracious. Don't miss the Aiden Sinclair show!!

"Best Experience Ever!!"

This was not just a hotel but an experience! The Queen Mary is just beautiful. There is nothing like it. The wood, the history, and the Excellent Customer Service were the best I have ever experienced. And I'm a grandma :) so I've been around a lot! LOL. I had read some reviews that the rooms were cold or no hot water.... I thought. really? This is an 80 yr old ship if you want that maybe you should not come but we had neither of those issues but the desk said to call them and they would have their engineer give you more heat. Didn't need to but just another example of the helpfulness of the staff. Only "issue" is be aware that the taxes plus facility fee total almost $40 plus another $22. for parking (I paid $40 for parking at a SF hotel). Food by the way is reasonable. Good breakfast for about $15. I did get a room with portholes for only $149 though so again, it's about the experience. Loved it!!

"Interesting to stay in such an Historic Place"

We stayed in a stateroom and they are far from modern, but it was kind of fun to stay in such an historic place. You have pretty much access to much of the ship including the shops, restaurants, bridge, decks etc. The beds were really comfortable! There could be more chairs in the rooms and some of the light fixtures did not work. As I said, this is not 5 star, but it is worth it.

I had reserved a deluxe king suite but when I got there I was given a queen with twin. Not at all what I reserved or wanted. I was looking for a suite with a separate room for my 17 year old girls who don't want to share a room with their parents. The hot water in the shower was an issue as well. You had to let the water run for 20 minutes before you would get lukewarm water. Told the staff and they didn't seem to bothered by this.
