Booked hotel for conference. Obviously the hotel is extremely nice, I've stayed booked meetings here several times, consistently excellent experiences. The difference maker is the personnel, door, front desk, banquet and meeting, etc., all excellent and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel for general stay or meetings

"Beautiful hotel- perfect Christmas destination"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We recently began staying regularly at the King Edward (we used to stay at the Royal York, but Fairmont was recently bought and did away with their loyalty program). It's definitely a nicer, more consistently comfortable hotel. We stayed 3 times in Nov-Dec, including over Christmas, and we were very pleased. Room service, cleaners, front desk, and restaurant staff are all warm and friendly, food quality was great, and we are always pleased with the comfortable and spacious rooms. This hotel is definitely a step up from the Royal York in terms of quality and consistency. Accessibility is a big of a problem. If you're in a wheelchair, you will not be able to use the front entrance. They won't put a ramp in (something about the design??). I suspect this is inconvenient/humiliating for some.

"Amazing hotel"

I came to Toronto on business. I arrived in a blazing snowstorm. The staff at the hotel were very warm and welcoming. I needed a conference room to be able to host a webinar. They could’ve charge me a fortune for a conference room but they told me to upgrade my hotel room and it would come with conference room privileges. That probably saved me $400. Because no one else needed the room, they allowed me to use it the whole day. They supplied us with water, coffee, snacks, everything we might need. They checked on us from time to time. They were awesome. I would highly recommend to stay at the Omni king Edward in Toronto
