Our room was spacious and had a small kitchen. Service excellent. The best part of The Collector was “The Well,” the bar on the property. Mixologists were on hand. Want to ind down and relax in a laidback town, this is your inn.

My husband and I prefer to stay in boutique or "different hotels when we travel. I read the numerous glowing reviews and thought this would be the perfect place to end our vacation before heading home. Our two night stay was fabulous! The rooms, grounds, pool are, private bar and Lobby were beautifully maintained! Our room was lovely and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Rocking on the front porch with a glass of wine and enjoying the various water features and landscaping was the end to a great two days of sightseeing and meeting people. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking/exploring the historic downtown area and because the hotel has such lovely lounging areas outside, we had the luxury of meeting several other couples. I highly recommend this and can't wait to return!

Charming, luxury inn. The Well was a great bar in which to relax. We only stayed one night, but needed more time to enjoy the gardens and area. All the staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. My only negative...the bed was so high I had to devise a creative way to get in!

This is a beautiful collection of older houses converted to inns. Our room was charming and nicely decorated. We enjoyed going to the small bar and having a drink or two at the fire pit. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Valet parking and nice breakfast. Our particular room would not accommodate guests who use wheelchairs. They also serve a very nice breakfast.

So many reasons we were thrilled. Absolutely every detail was first rate. Charm, charm, charm - which sometimes means a little run down - but not here. Fabulous King Suite (2 TV's, robes, etc.), lovely gardens, delicious Continental Breakfast with wide assortment of food (fresh fruit, pastries, oatmeal, juices, gourmet coffee and tea, etc.). Their resident historian provides tours taking you back to the origins of the property in the context of the history of St. A. itself. She experienced the Inn's history of the last 50+ years firsthand - and what an interesting history it all is in her telling. The current owner saw the potential amidst what had become rundown, and clearly spared no expense with extensive infrastructure modernization that preserved as many historic elements as possible. Must have been a labor of love and respect for the property, and shows a true desire to enchant guests. Truly the best of luxury hotel amenities combined with B&B charm. Nikki the bartender in their unique bar gave us great dining advice, and Lynne at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. Wish we had stayed another day, and can't wait to return. Ready to advise all my friends to be sure to stay at The Collector when in town! It's walking distance to many of the best sites in the Old City.
