My husband I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at this property. The Inn exceeded our expectations. As soon as we stepped into our room (Aviles King located in the Canova House, room C-102) we went back inn time to the 1800's. The room has all of the everyday amenities you could ask for but all within a room that was decorated with furniture and artwork from the 1800's. It was a very quiet room and the bed was SO comfortable. The grounds are amazing. Our stay was something we are still taking about. And we are already talking about going back again. This inn has a total of 30 guests rooms. Each one is different. It is an adult only inn. Services and amenities include: Valet parking, European continental breakfast, property historical tours (3x a week), bicycles, turndown service, WiFi, craft cocktail bar, outdoor fire pits, outdoor heated pool, lawn games, in-room iPad, afternoon snacks and infused water. 24 hour coffee and tea available. The continental breakfast was very good. The attendant kept the area very clean and well stocked. The choices we had were: bagels, toast, muffins, Danish rolls, jams, peanut butter, cream cheese, cheese and meats for bagels, hard boiled eggs, dry cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, juices, milk. Alcoholic breakfast cocktails available to purchase. "The Well" (the Inn's bar) was a nice environment to have a drink, a snack, and visit with other guests. There is a nice outside patio area to sit at also. The fire pits were beauitful. There were two on the grounds. The fire pits are not wood burning. There are rocks with pieces of colored glass. The glass puts off a beautiful sparkle with the flames. It is so relaxing. And romantic. You can take your cocktails outside and sit by the fire pit. My husband and I found The Collector to be both relaxing and romantic. The Inn is within walking distance of most everything you want to do in St. Augustine. There is also the trolly system that you can purchase tickets for and use to get around the city. We did take the on site historical tour and it was well worth it. We learned so much about the original owner and the current owner. Don't miss the tour!!

We spent a wonderful 4 days staying at the The Collector Gardens and Inn. The inn was walking distance to the downtown area. The inn itself is rich in history and the gardens were spectacular. The staff was very friendly and responsive. There are fancier hotels in town but if u are looking for a boutique atmosphere that includes , fire pits, history, porches , snacks, good breakfast and an amazing location this is your best bet. I will definitely return!

Loved this place. Comfy bed and cozy suite. Felt like home away from home. Grounds are beautiful and staff is great. Wish I could have stayed a week.😢 The little bar is quaint and adorable. Loved having the bathrobe in room also. The restaurants are a 5 minute walk. This is definitely a place to consider.

The Collector has an amazing story and the history is all around you. Each of the structures on this property have been restored with great detail and care. Our room with a private balcony was exceptional for sipping coffee like a St. Augustine native. The sights, sounds and feel of the historic district are everywhere. We enjoyed the history tour very much and hearing how the owner tried hard to make this hotel a treasure. Walking to the see the Night of Lights was an extra bonus.
