"Absolutely loved this hotel! Don't judge a book by its cover."

What a pleasant surprise with a beautiful elevated valley view (even from the 4th floor). From the lively hotel bar and lobby, to the updated suites, we felt like we were staying in a high end luxury micro apartment. Comfy bedding and mattresses with lots of pillows and a great mix of lighting and plenty of closet space. We were happy to find our dog was welcome and comfortable here as well ($75 non- refundable charge). Other similar hotels charge $100, plus $10+ day. Self parking was close and easy in/out for around $28 (which is better than LA city rates around $40++). They also have a regular free shuttle to go shopping, dining, or to Universal Studios. The outside of the hotel definitely needs updating, but the inside more than makes up for it.

"Hotel physical structure needs TLC"

The location can't be beat for getting to Universal Studios early in the morning, but maintenance needs to be updated. Some doors were missing the covers for the card key reader area, leaving unsightly exposed cut-away wood. The pool area had sections where it was so slippery, even when dry, that there are yellow danger signs on the ground. Just fix the surface is a better solution. Very nice people working there.

"One of the worst hotels I've been to"

I would have liked to give this hotel ~4 stars, but I just can't. The room is rather basic and small, the mini bar was empty which is kind of annoying if you want something to drink after drinking through the 2 free bottles of water. Food is pretty mediocre, edible but not more than that. Including the $25 breakfast which is definitely targeted for quantity and not quality. Internet is annoyingly slow, forget about Netflix, it is so slow that I had a back to the future experience all the way back to the 90' so it compensated on lack of entertainment before going to sleep. When you need to use the elevators, make sure to take provisions along because it might take time, I would definitely count that into a trip plan. But that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is their can-not-do attitude. I needed to split a bill between my personal card and my corporate card (so I could pay for my wife's breakfast), the guy didn't seem to care much and couldn't do it, I ended up paying for a whole meal from my personal card in a hope that I can later on fix it with our accounting. As a part of a large group that just paid ~$100K I would have expected them to either fix it or waive the breakfast altogether. Very annoying, a very frustrating end to a mediocre stay.

"A comfortable hotel close to Universal Studios, CA Good for Families"

This hotel is close to Universal Studios, the Universal Studios City Walk. They also provides a bus service to the City Walk around every 20 min. Also a convenient Uber ride from Burbank airport - no need to rent a car if you are just going to Universal. We had some issues when we checked in but management listened. Though the resolution was not ideal, if worked since we were only there 3 nights. We had a king suite. Room was large, good for a family if they have a crib or more than 2 to the room. Beds were great. small fridge. Coffee make with two packs of coffee (1 cup each). Noise level - Since property is near the freeway, it's hit and miss. One night we heard nothing, another the road noise was loud. On site resturant - expensive. Food was ok, another table had burgers which looked pretty big. You are close to city walk so I would take the bus over there for dinner. If bus service stops, an Uber ride is less than $5 back to the hotel or you can walk (hilly). If we are in the area - would stay there again. Universal Stuios LA is small and doable in one day. But that's another review.

"Great hotel in a great location"

We recently stayed for 4 nights and this was a nice surprise. The hotel rooms have recently been renovated and are large, clean and have great facilities. We had adjoining rooms which we could confirm prior to booking and the hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. I had previously stayed here prior to renovation and it was showing its age but the rooms are now fantastic and I would highly recommend. It is a 10 minute walk to Universal Studios/City Walk area and there is a free shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes. Would definitely stay again
