Description

from SeaWorld San Diego
SeaWorld San Diego ’s new dueling roller coaster, Tidal Twister, will make its debut in May 2019. A first of its kind adventure, this unique ride is an exhilarating experience that demonstrates the power of the ocean. Accelerating to 30 mph, riders will twist and bank as if riding the tide along a tight figure-8 track that includes a dynamic zero-G roll at the center section. Two trains, holding 16 passengers each, load at opposite ends of the figure-8 track and cross in the center with guests facing both forward and backward on the trains. A height requirement of only 48" makes this a perfect ride for younger guests and family members.

At SeaWorld® San Diego, you’ll connect with the sea and go on exhilarating rides and amazing adventures. Get up-close and personal with dolphins, penguins, sharks, and more. Plus, step beneath the waves and go hands-on at Explorer’s Reef™ - an all-new larger-than-life coral realm where you can touch a shark, a crab, or thousands of tiny cleaner fish that will nibble playfully at your fingers. It’s an exploratory adventure you’ll just have to sea to believe.

"Very disappointing"

Attended SeaWorld, travelling from a distance afar. Upon arrival a short period after gate opening, no maps available to assist with getting around the park. Staff didn’t not appear too concerned or interested advised to get the app. Very great idea assuming we had wifi on our phones. To our disappointment we very quickly discovered that the gondola was not in operation, the tower was not operating and other rides in the park would not be activated on the day. Fortunately for us we were not there for the rides and came to see the Orca and Beluga whales. To our utmost dismay we were advised the Beluga whales were not on exhibit due to refurbishment. Tip to operators: would be worthwhile putting on the web page what is operating available on the day/week to allow customers the informed decision whether to attend the Park or not. Has we had this information prior - we would not have visited. Tickets prices are extremely expensive, poor value for money compared to other theme/ animal parks around the world, including Zoos. Clearly the park is old and is undergoing a refurbishment. Staff appear to be disinterested. Food options limited, expensive and again very disappointing. The one highlight was the Orca show which we enjoyed. A four hour visit to the park was enough for us. Wouldn’t recommend to any our friends due price, lack of attractions, and general poor condition.

$22 to park. Me, wife, and one year old was $100 each to eat all day. You are better to find tickets online. We had fun and so did our son. We only spent 3 short hours. We saw the whales and dolohin ahow as well as many other attractions. You could spend 8 to 10 hours easily

"Don't WASTE your money. Not worth it."

This place is the epitome of nickel and diming you. There are very "convenient" lockers near the rides. All other amusement parks you can keep your belongings with you. I don't mean coolers and giant umbrellas.. I mean a simple purse even. They won't let you bring it on the ride. Ok. Sure. I get it. They won't let you bring it in line to the ride and just leave it there to pick up after.. hmmm ok. They won't let you bring it in line at all, even if someone is just waiting in line with you and will not be riding the attraction. I mean, literally you cannot walk into line with things with you. Your only choice is to purchase a locker and it's not a one time thing. It's timed. The more you pay the more you get it. You pay for parking too. So even after $90 for a day you have to pay for parking. You can't stand in line with your family even if you aren't riding unless you pay. It is a literal joke. Oh, you can get the fast pass experience like Disney.. but guess what? Yep, there is a cost. Complete joke. Give me one good reason that I can't bring a purse in a line for a ride I'm not riding when I can at Disney or Six Flags, or any other place in the world that I have been. I'll wait.. Maybe you've heard of Disney and their excellent service ratings..
