"Dreams of a life time"
May, 2018
Everyone goes through life with a dream. Some larger than others, some simpler than others. My wife's dream of 60 years was to interact with a dolphin. Sea Life Park fulfilled this dream.
When we entered the bus for the ride to the park, the driver was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go out of his way to assist you. You enter the well kept park and are greeted by smiling staff. The walks are easy for older people to transit which we appreciated. The staff was on a tight schedule and this showed in how things were handled but the Dolphin was the sweetest I have ever seen. She was so gentle with her interactions with humans. For my wife her moment with the dolphin was a spiritual moment. The feeling of love from this animal brought peace to her soul and this is a memory that will remain for life.
The assembly line might be reconsidered and for the price of the experience, the Picture should be complementary.

The park is very small. The price is big. And half the exhibits are closed. Thankfully, we had Go Oahu passes and didn't pay money for this place. However, I still wouldn't recommend wasting an hour here.

"Somewhat disappointing"

Entering into the park through the underwater viewing tank kind of set the tone for a drab experience. Not much to see there, a couple of small sharks. The whole facility seemed neglected and in need of serious sprucing up. Dolphin show and walk-in bird cage were the highlights.

"Wonderful Dolphin Encounter"

We booked a last minute dolphin encounter and loved the experience of actually getting into the water and swimming with the dolphins. We were a small group of 6 and we also got to pet and feed the dolphin as it was doing fun tricks and taking us on different rides. The photographer got excellent shots so we have a wonderful keepsake of our encounter. We also saw the dolphin show which was a lot fun. The rest of the part looks like it is under refurbishment so there were not that many more things to see, but the dolphin encounter was worth it.

"Dolphin Swim Adventure"

I'm a kamaaina, so I have been visiting the park since I was super young. This was the first time I tried out their "experiences" and it was awesome. First off, check their deals page. I got the tickets for the swim adventure for 50% off during Black Friday/Cyber Monday times. We had Nalu the dolphin. We did the belly ride, dorsal fin ride and kisses, but that was not all. He also did a ton of tricks for us and we fed him a few times and got to rub his belly. One of the more memorable tricks was when he swam like a shark and sang to us. Super worth it!! And the price includes park admission. My favorite enclosure is the birds. I had about 5 lovebirds on me at one time. We ate lunch in the park, but did not take in the other shows since we had mainly come that day for the dolphins.

"This park has some age and needs some TLC."

The shows are great, but the habitats and animals need some extra care. Try to visit this park to encourage them by your visit and the influx of money which they need to upgrade their wonderful facilities. You will have a great time.
