We got these tickets in conjunction with Madame Tussaud’s and it was so much fun- from the sweetly creepy count st the front door to the hilarious actors who just go into the fun of it all we just loved this experience. There were some very good jump scares but it was pretty gentle and fun. No one touches you or really scares’s just a bit creepy..the drop ride at the end was brilliant and the photos of them were hilarious! God fun and worth it for sure..

Love the dungeons but this is one of the best. Our second visit after a two year gap was just as good, if not better for knowing a bit of what was coming and laughing at the first timers. Good acting, lots of old fashioned jump scares, smoke and mirrors. A total hoot. Don't miss. This one is also cheap ($15) compared with London (£30)

I love this novelty stuff, but was disappointed. The actor at the entrance was awesome, and got me all psyched up for this tour. We started out with a 2-3 minute wait due to technical difficulties that went on for about 10 or so minutes, and was then extended again. When we were finally instructed to go down into the dungeon area the man that takes the photographs was unreal, incredibly rude and throwing a little tantrum because he “had no idea what was going on or why there are people down here”. So unprofessional, I really can’t believe his behaviour. The first actor we had in the tour was great, can’t flaw her at all. The others were mediocre to bad, and I have to single this one out: The young man in the Alcatraz introduction area was completely incomprehensible. He has a slight accent but the issue was actually that he spoke a million miles an hour. I understood nothing of what he said and sat there confused. He honestly should have some further training or consider a different career path, it was really really bad. Someone also accidentally opened a door to the outside while our groups were walking through the exhibit which ruined the immersion. The ride at the end seemed unnecessary. The women trying to sell the photos were also rude. So there were good parts and terrible parts. Management needs to whoop some, as the attitudes of some of the employees were horrendous.

We had bought the Costco San Francisco Explorer pass and chose the Dungeon as one of our attractions. We showed up and were immediately given a time slot about 10 minutes away. Great start! The gentleman at the front handling the ticketing and getting you down to the start of the trip was awesome. Always in character, very charming and funny. The ride/tour was fun and very informative. Each of the characters were fun actors who really added to the whole experience. There were only 2 of the actors who weren't our favorite. It was interesting to learn some little known San Francisco facts as you traveled through different time periods and historical events. Definitely a fun time.
