"Watch out to buy correct ticket"

After your bike ride from SF to Sausalito this is 1 of 2 options to ferry back to SF. -Golden gate Ferry to pier 1 (Ferry building/Embarcadero/Food market) -Blue and Gold Fleet to pier 39/41 (Fishermans Warf) By bike less than 10 mins distance from 1 to the other location. Both $12,50 Look up on the website for accurate schedule. Its a rather comfortable ride of approx 20mins, stable (havent seen anybody seesick), lots of place to stall your bike. The Ferry has a few decks and restrooms, and a snackbar. You dont need to buy the ticket before you board ashore with the machines (cash, debit and creditcard), you can simply buy your ticket on the ferry as wrll. Less hassle. However if you buy it beforehand make sure you watch which Ferry you want to take... Since they let you board without checking the ticket, and only at arrival check on it.

We bought tickets for the bay tour on Pier 39. The narration of the tour gives you history and interesting stories of what you are cruising by. We had a super sunny clear day to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and sea lions lounging near Pier 39. Worth the money!

"Nothing gold about this."

We used this service as it was included in the bike hire. I wouldn’t use it again though, they ran very late, whilst they did keep us updated on the reason it was easily 45min plus delay. The following day we were walking past the Ferry terminal again and overheard an announcement that they were again running late. The view was the saving grace though. Otherwise there is food on board and toilets should you want a snack and a restroom.

We bought our tickets online days before the tour. It's so worth it! You get to go under the Golden Gate Bridge twice and completely around Alcatraz. It was cold on our day but we didnt care cause you must be outside for the views and pics. It lasted an hour and we would do it again.

"Golden Gate and Alcatraz tour"

Took the one hour cruise to Golden Gate and Alcatraz tour. It was good. It had a recorded commentary that was informative but not comprehensive. The crew were competent and made announcements as required for safety (eg: “ please be aware we are meeting a ships wake”). Went under the Golden Gate and close to Alcatraz. A pleasant basic one hour cruise of the San Francisco Bay.
