"Great and exciting tour!"
March, 2019 NEW
The Red Train tours are exciting and comical at times. I prefer the red train over the other trolley tour because they give a bit more history for people of color and more about the freedom trail. Not to mention the price is a little lower too. I've done both red train and the trolley tour, needless to say, I'm sticking with the best. Way to go Red Train!!!

"The worst experience"
November, 2015
Our group was San Jose Elementary and our driver was John. My kids come from different countries so they were very excited and talkative. John was very rude and unprofessional. He threatened to do the tour in silence if they did not stop waving at people. Granted they were chatty but that's because they were excited most of them come from 3rd world countries and have never done anything like this. So there was a better for him to handle that and he didn't have to be so sarcastic. He did not handle it in a professional manner and the whole mood changed. No one had fun after that! We will not use this service again.

"Smokey's Secret Tips"
August, 2015
We chose this Red Train Tour mainly because they are pet friendly and we are traveling with our little Chihuahua "Nugget". We were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful job our driver and tour guide, Smokey did. He made each and every attraction come to life by not only providing the historical information but by offering rare, and interesting facts he researched on the subject. It was obvious that he loved his job and the city of St. Augustine. Now, we love St. Augustine, too.

"Free Rides"
July, 2015
The Red Train overall was very informative and convenient. My only complaint was I paid over $150.00 for tickets for my family and the driver of the train (Scott) let people get on the train at different stops and ride for free. He never checked for stickers or tickets. My son is in the Navy active duty and serves his country every day. He never expects anything for free. I paid full price for his ticket as did most of the people on the train. I do not feel it's fair for some to ride for free. I brought this to the attention of the staff where we bought the tickets and they could only give me a ridiculous excuse stating "they must have been employees riding for free". I don't believe a child 15 along with his 4 friends, a family of 6, and a couple here visiting from Georgia are Red Train Employees. If this company wants to give "free rides" offer that to the men and women who serve our country, police officers and fireman who risk their lives to protect our families every day.

We were in St Augustine in the rain. We took the Red Train tour and it really started to rain. We were offered to do the tour the next day...unfortunately we had to leave so we stayed on the train and did the tour in the rain. Our guide, Smokey was amazing and really informative. He made the tour fu in spite of the rain. Highly recommend the company.

There’s nothing better than getting a tour with a History teacher. Teacher Alex was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all things St. Augustine. He joked and was friendly to those of us on board and those on the sidewalks. He interacted well with the “other” tour (I won’t mention them by name but they’re green) drivers and was courteous. He joked that he did the tours to become as rich as Flagler. We think he should be. He needs a raise. If you get Alex don’t make our mistake and get off.

This is a great way to get around town. They are the oldest company in Florida. Was pleased that for seniors you buy one ticket get one half off. We were on several trains with each driver having their own unique style. Be sure to tip them!

The tour was so informative and a great way to pack in St Augustine. You can hop on and off at any of their 23 stops throughout the day. We road entire tour (23 stops-about 1.5hrs) and then stayed on to get off on our favorite stops. Jeff was a great tour guide. Learned a lot of history. Tip: save on parking fees by parking at one of their spots where hey have a parking lot and you can park for free. It is one of the train stops so you can get picked up at your car. Wish I had known that and would have saved $15 from parking deck.
