First time staying at this Disney property. It is beautiful, quaint, well kept and it's easy to get to and from the parks by boat or bus. There are plenty of things to do. Nice pool and quiet parks. If you choose to forgo the daily housekeeping, this resort will give you a gift card for $10/day. We stayed 8 days and got an $80 gift card. I love this place anf will definitely be back. 10 stars!!!!

"Boring room"

We were not impressed with the room. It was very plain, no hint of the french quarter except for beads in the shape of Mickey ears when we came in. There were no hidden Mickey's anywhere. The room was small, you either sit on the bed or at the small table in hard chairs. The beds were comfortable, and we didn't have any noise issue. The bathroom was very tiny.

"Comment on Chicory Coffee in Floatworks Restaurant"

Went to French Quarter today for beignets and chicory coffee. The beignets were pretty good and reasonably priced. However, the chicory coffee was barely warm and tasted like day old coffee, not chicory. Chicory has a nutty taste not old coffee taste.

Last April I took my husband on his first trip to WDW. I wanted him to have a great experience, so we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. It was the best! Just the right size resort with a great pool and newly refurbished rooms. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

"We loved it here!"

We were here Jan 17-21 of 2019. We stayed in building 2 and it was a very short walk from the main building with restaurants and front desk and the buses too! We had a view of the pool, we were on the second floor and had zero problems staying here. The room is larger than the All Star, etc. Enough room for luggage and to move around with 4 people (2 adults and 2 teen boys). We loved the atmosphere at night walking around, it was clean, quiet and just very pretty. We even saw a horse drawn carriage one night through the resort. The restaurant offers anything you can think of and it was fast and convenient. THe food is separated into "categories" so the baked items is one line and the burgers/chips, etc in another, they have a pasta station where you can pick alfredo, etc and veggies and chicken. Always enough seats to sit with your trays of food and friendly staff wherever we went. We never had to wait for a bus, maybe we had good timing but the most we waited was 5 minutes and we always had a seat except for one time. Then again, it was January. We didn't get to experience the pool because we were at the parks until about 9 and the pool closed everyday at 8 due to "cold weather". We were kind of bummed about that because my kids wanted to swim at night when we got back. The beds were comfy too! and we LOVED the extra pillows. We did have one problem and that was our air unit. It was SO loud like an airplane engine the first night and we got in so late so we did nothing about it, we called on our second day and they sent someone and they assessed the problem and said the entire unit had to be replaced! We were exhausted from the parks at this point and they just came in and replaced it while we were in our room. It took about an hour. Then , a MUCH quieter night of sleep for nights 2 and 3!! So glad we mentioned it.
