Description

from Pearl Harbor Remembered
At the Pacific Historic Parks Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, exhibits, detailed replicas, and media displays tell the story of World War II and the attack on Pearl Harbor and its aftermath, bringing it intimately to life.

On the USS Arizona Memorial, built over the remains of the sunken ship, visitors pause to reflect on the familiar date of the attack in December 1941. Aboard “Mighty Mo,” the USS Missouri, discover a copy of the signed surrender document that ended the war and learn about the battleship’s wartime history. Visit the USS Oklahoma Memorial, which stands as a monument to those who lost their lives on that ship during the attack.

Your tour continues with a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl Crater. Here, 38,000 markers pay tribute to the men and women of the US Armed Forces who have sacrificed for their country.

Next, head through downtown Honolulu, passing the historic ‘Iolani Palace – official residence of Hawaii’s monarchy and Oahu’s iconic King Kamehameha Statue before arriving at your final stop, the Home of the Brave Museum. This highly-rated museum honors those who bravely served during World War II. Step back in time and explore the sights and sounds of an era that changed history through artifacts, photographs, and stories of courage from veterans of WWII.

This tour is amazing for people who want to get out of Waikiki and see the rest of Oahu. We saw so many beautiful beaches, had a great complimentary lunch and got to try Dole Whip! Our tour guide Rockie was so kind and taught us so much more than we learned at the Pearl Harbor memorial, he is very knowledgeable. If you can, ask for Rockie to be your guide!

Cousin Fred was lots of fun and informative-really knew a lot about pearl Harbor. It was a misty day but still enjoyable. Loved the Dole Plantation stop/whip but took awhile as there was lots of high school or college kids there. Saw lots of beaches-loved Pounders for our lunch stop. Would definately recommend this company for tours

"Tour Guide or Ohana?"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Sometimes you meet people and leave grateful for the services they provided as they were professional and represented their employer's name beyond expectations. But, it's a rarity that someone can exceed this status to the extent that you meet them and leave grateful to know their individual name and to have felt you truly shared an experience together. Our guide, Anastasia, shared a great experience with our family as our guide/driver! Her Hawaiian knowledge was un-matched as a guide, she taught us some pidgin to help us better understand the locals, she informed us of both tourist and local spots with the best foods, and recommended fun things to do around Oahu. Furthermore, she helped a woman with her shopping bags and child stroller then gave up her seat so the woman would be more comfortable. In our relatively short experience together, Anastasia embodied aloha, and - above all else - introduced my family to the Hawaiian ideology of ohana. We left the bus as if we were leaving a great friend and that feels amazing when you're military and so far from everyone you know on the mainland. If you are lucky enough to have her as a guide, you'll definitely agree that it was an amazing experience surpassing your expectations of a simple bus tour.

"Great tour guide, disappointing attraction"

With the USS Arizona Memorial being closed to visitors, the Pearl Harbor is still great, but I can’t help feeling disappointed. Don’t know when my family and I will be biding Oahu again. Our tour guide, Shannon O’Brien, was excellent, very knowledgeable, I learned a great deal of Hawaiian history from him.
