"Best Vacation Ever"
March, 2015
We went to the Top of Gatlinburg and stayed at the Park Vista by Double Tree by Hilton everything was excellent from our reservations all the way until we got back home. Kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool along with riding the glass elevator. Not to mention overlooking Gatlinburg at night that was great!

Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Great place for a conference and easy to get to many places. Not much to do at the hotel itself except for a pool. Beds are very comfortable and great pillows.

We came here mainly due to the indoor pool area. We were only mildly disappointed in a few areas. The dining area on site needs some work. The food was good but for the price you pay you expect it to be hot and not just “kept warm”. We were seated at a dirty table just to keep people moving. Just a few minor issues. Over all our stay has been great. My daughter has a thing for stuffed animals so she frequently has at least 7 with her at all times. This morning she forgot to take them off bed before the housekeeping came and they arranged them for her. So super sweet of them. I may add more later after our trip is completed.

This was a great place to stay, if you’re expecting a brand new hotel this one is not for you. The location and Mountain View’s were good. The hot tub was actually hot unlike most hotels where it’s a couple degrees warmer than the pool.

This is an older property. It is one of those circular hotels that were so popular in the 70s. It sits at the top of a hill so there are good views. Be prepared for a steep drive to the entrance. One of the things that comes with circular hotels is wedge-shaped rooms. It's not a problem - just a little unusual. The balcony is nice and the set up gives each room decent privacy. The A/C was good. The wifi was not. This property hosts lots of events. Soccer tournaments, dance competitions, cheerleader tourneys... whatever the event du jour there are lots of kids and lots of demand on wifi bandwidth. The room was decent size but the bathroom was tight. The shower and toilet were crammed together in a very small footprint. That is a one-person-at-a-time arrangement. The sink was outside the room so that would allow another person to get ready. The breakfast buffet is decent. It costs $16 pp. Hilton diamonds get (exactly) 2 breakfast coupons. If you have a third person they will have to pay. The food wasn't bad - decent variety and taste. The turnover was pretty quick. The property has a great pool. Remember - lots of kids stay here so don't come expecting a tranquil dip in the pool. But kids will love it. It was very quiet – no road or exterior noise – no hallway or through-the-wall noise either. There is also plenty of parking. Bottom line - it's not the kind of place I'd rush back to - but I'd stay here again if I needed to be in Gatlinburg.

This stay the bed was terrible. Way too soft. We did not sleep well and could barely move by day two. I had planned to stay another night, but the hotel was booked for that night. That was a blessing in disguise for the health of my back. Also it took the shower at least 15 minutes before the water warmed.I have stayed at this hotel several times previously without issue.
