"Avoid at all costs!"

Worst hotel experience of my life. Should be avoided at all costs. I booked a room on a typical online hotel service about 3 weeks ahead of time and payed in full of about $200 for two nights with a guaranteed room. The night of I ran into an unexpected emergency in which I had to take my girlfriend to the ER. I called them and let them know I was likely going to be arriving late and they insisted that it was no problem at all. I called a second time several hours later now that I was seeing I likely wasn't going to make it to the hotel until after 2am and again I gave my name and they told me that my room was reserved and I could arrive at any time. I then arrive at about 3:30am and they informed me that they messed up and never had a room reserved for me. The desk girl refused to help in anyway. She refused to call her manager and she refused to call other hotels. All she would say is that it was someone else that messed up and it wasn't her problem. It is now 4am, we've been in the ER since 9pm, and we're calling every hotel in orlando trying to find somewhere with a room with no luck. Then to make things worse, the desk girl called security on us since we were in the lobby desperately trying to figure out where we'd sleep that night. In the end, the hotel helped in no way, and we got ahold of a friend that happened to be in orlando at the time and slept on the floor of their hotel room. Following up in later days, the hotel avoided my calls several times, and the manager never called back. After getting ahold of the booking company, they were also unable to get ahold of the manager and they eventually refunded me my money. Incredibly poor run operation that no one should consider staying with.

We needed a place to stay for a couple of nights before checking into our Disney hotel. We found this location through the Choice Hotels site. The hotel is basically under total renovation, and we knew this ahead of time. The staff was very friendly and responsive. Always said hello if they saw us in the halls, elevators, etc. The room itself was beautifully appointed and comfortable. I wish it had a larger desk space, but it sufficed for the time we were there. The bathroom had a huge shower which was nice at the end of a long day of playing tourist. Floors are tile and laminate. Very nice. The halls are not carpeted, so any noise such as talking or rolling suitcases echoed. We didn't find this a problem at night when sleeping, but other times it was a bit of an issue for us. We did have a safety concern as the exterior doors around the resort were not locked. In fact they completely removed the lock from the entrance by the elevator. This did cause us some concern, but we were fine. The hotel, as I said is under completel renovation. They have a long way to go, but once finished it will be quite nice. Just has some glitches now. But for the price, we couldn't complain. If you are visiting the area theme parks, it is a bit difficult to get out of onto 192 and turned to go in the direction you need to be. This is especially true around 4-5 PM. Definitely something to be aware of.

One of the best hotels we have stayed. First the price was excellent, the staff is very friendly and fast checking, the room are big, clean and modern. I’m very impressed with how beautiful it is especially with the bathroom. The continental breakfast was pretty good. Great location and huge parking lot.

As a choice rewards member I was very disappointed with this property.when I called the reservations number I asked what Quality inn and Comfort inns they had in the area where I was going to be staying and the first mistake I made was letting them up sell me to one of their Ascend properties. I've been on the road all day so I chalk this up to being overtired but never having stayed at one of their ascend property I thought I'd give it a shot as it was only about $10 more night over what I would have paid at a Comfort or Quality Inn. I made the booking initially over the phone and when I arrived at the property the man at the front desk was friendly but he couldn't seem to figure out how to apply the standard AAA discount. I let it go, since I just really want to get to my room and lie down for a while. When I got to the room there was no phone to call the front desk which means quite a long walk back everytime I need to ask a question. The TV did not work. And the biggest worry of all is the doors on the second floor that access the room quarters from the open staircase from the parking lot had no security on them whatsoever, and I have the pictures to prove it. I can't imagine any hotel that's part of a major chain not putting proper security on corridor access points in this day and age. That's just plain crazy, especially since this was in the middle of the Kissimmee Orlando interchange. Anyway I won't be staying at any more of their Ascend properties. This one seemed to be in the middle of construction, given the notices in the lobby which by the way they did not tell me when I called and did not discount the price per night for. I think there are far better values for money in the Kissimmee Orlando area and if I ever come here again I will seek them out.

We were in Orlando for the weekend for my daughter’s field hockey tournament. We were looking for a cheap and nice hotel, just to sleep. I did not have many expectations, but actually, I was very surprised by this hotel. This hotel exceed my expectations! The hotel is being completely renovated. The rooms are very comfortable, very clean and, most importantly for people with allergies like me ... DOES NOT HAVE CARPET !!!! I was surprised that they have Nespresso machines in the rooms. The only thing is that they only give you 2 capsules of coffee and the extra capsules that you order, they charge them and you have to ask for them at the front desk. Breakfast is OK. I would add a little protein. But it is very good in relation to the price paid for the stay. The staff is super friendly. I was impressed by the warmth that is given to the guests. I have worked for many years in the hotel industry, and it is evident that in this hotel they want to make the guests feel at home. It is located very close to Disney parks and outlets.
