I had so much fun. I was treated like royalty and even though this was a bottomless mimosas brunch I was given extra glasses of straight up champagne.... This was well worth it. I will always come back.

"Exceptional Brunch Cruise for my Birthday"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

I booked a brunch cruise for my birthday with 18 family & friends (about $105 per ticket), and it was exceptional. For my birthday, the staff packed in an amazing amount in two hours. Comfortable environment, good food, great views, appropriate music, friendly staff. Even though the cruise was in December, the inside of the ship was warm and comfortable. We were greeted with a photographer, and had a space set aside for my entire group, so we didn't feel crowded. Boarding was on-time, and the brunch food was warm and varied. My only surprise was that there wasn't an omelet station, but no one in my group went hungry! The live band played great music, sort of like you'd hear at a wedding, from slow songs for couples to line dancing and "Macarena" music for everyone. Of course, with the hundreds of people aboard we didn't know everyone else on the floor, but that's just like a wedding, where you're generally dancing with strangers from the other side of the family anyway! The vibe was friendly and upbeat, everyone that I saw was happy and enjoying the cruise, and there was plenty of time to put on coats and head outside for fresh air, and more pictures with the Washington landscape in the background. One small disappointment, not within their control, was that the water level in the river, from recent rains and high tide), meant that the river was too high for us to go on the northern route, since we wouldn't have been able to safely get under the bridges. So we went on the southern route instead. It was a bit difficult to get this information though, I had to just notice that we were heading south instead of north, and I had to track down staff, who didn't know, and then they had to check with the crew, but they did get back to me. As a constructive note for improvement, it would have been nice to see a map somewhere showing the boat's intended course, along with pointing out the landmarks. That aside, everything else was perfect. It was a wonderful and memorable cruise, that I would highly recommend to anyone who was looking for a unique way to celebrate a special event!

"Cool Tunes but Cold Cuisine"

The best part of this cruise was the wonderful band. There was music from the moment we entered the boat until we walked off. The selection of tunes varied in styles and era that would please most listeners. If only the food service could have equaled the music. Sadly, the food service time between courses lagged. For example, before our drinks were served, a cold roll was dropped on our bread plate. We waited 15-20 minutes for drinks and about the same time for the salad to come. When the food was served, it was cold and not quite thoroughly cooked. It tasted like frozen food that had been microwaved and left to sit for a while. The dessert buffet offered several choices. The vessel seemed crowded with less than 12 inches on each side of a table for two. It didn’t give the servers much room to service each guest and lacked privacy for intimate conversation. I questioned the reason for such close quarters when I saw several empty tables on the boat and one side with no guests. It was nice to see the monuments first rm a water side view, but if you want to get a good view, consider a day time cruise.

"It was a Three Hour Tour with Happy Ending"

The company I work for hosted their holiday party on the Odyssey. We enjoyed three hours of good food, drinks and music. Staff was exceptional and very attentive to our needs. As this was a night cruise didn't get to enjoy the view along the Potomac as befits a river cruise. Daytime would have been a better option if you want to enjoy the view.
