    "Lovely Stay"

We stayed here for 5 nights and we loved it. We could see the Time Square and since the hotel is situated right in middle of Broadway street, we could see all the billboards right from our room. The roads are brightly lit even in the middle of the night. The stay at the hotel was nice and pleasant. The breakfast spread was delicious and had quite a variety.

"Horrible Service. Never come back again."

We are staying at the Marriott Marquis for the first time. Expecting great location and standard service. We are at the end, very disappointed with their service. We are staying in a room with double bed, and planning for our son to join us for the weekend at the hotel. We inquired with the reception at 6pm today that my son would be using the sofo bed at around 10:30pm, and confirmed that the bed be turned down. We got back to the hotel by 9:30pm. The sofa bed was not prepared yet. We called in to the "at your service" customer service line, inquiring about the sofa bed request. The reception "at your service" was very unprofessional. She told us that the bed can be turned down on our own, with the extra pillow in the shelf. "Should we send someone over to your room, to turn down the bed which was already ready to be used". We explained that it was the staffs at the reception who told us that the bed would be prepared by the hotel. And this lady on purpose sounded really impatient, "so would you like us to turn down the sofa bed which should be done on your own....". We have been traveling in a lot of global hotel chains, and have never experienced such poor service, The lady at the line "at your service" made us felt very stupid and demanding.... We are starwood gold members and now turned, marriott members from the merge. We would NEVER stay in Marriott Marquis Times Square again. Hotel service is very poor... what a disappointment. Complaints from Lou at 3917 during 18-23 March 2019.

We booked our room through a third party for a pre cruise stay. The flight coming in to NYC was quite early but they still had our room ready for us. The check in process was quick. Our room was roomy and very clean. The elevators are easy to use once explained what to do. Also found the gentleman at the Security/Concierge desk very helpful in directing us to a more affordable breakfast place at Starlight Deli! Thank you!!! The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and didn’t hurt our wallets! Being in the heart of Times Square, this hotel was the perfect location. Would stay here again.

We stayed here when we did the 5 boro bike ride and they let us store our bikes at the hotel. The location is very convenient and the staff was excellent. I would stay here again. We were also very close to the ride starting place and the bike path was nearby.

    "Marriott Marquis Time Square"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Checked into the Marriott Marquis NY Times Square for spring break with the family on 3/12/19. Good: Room 1533 was a corner room overlooking Times Square which afforded extra room for the family. The drapes needed to be closed due to the blinking signage but overall nice room. The surcharge you pay daily includes one ticket PER day to a few tourist (bus, water taxi) tours so the fee pays for itself if you use the tickets. There wasn’t much communication on the amenities available to you - only the card they hand you at check in. Breakfast was good but NY expensive. Bad: Front desk managers really seemed indifferent for a seemingly non-valued Gold member. They may just be reflecting the attitude that the Marriott is bestowing upon their gold members because they no longer allow Gold in the concierge lounge - one of the main reasons we booked a Marriott hotel. Very disappointed. My son wanted to eat the desert buffet at the revolving restaurant in the 48th floor “The View” - the Buffett was very minimal and the non-refillable sprite was $6.50 with no refills. My son did enjoy the chocolate fountain and the 5 marshmallows and 5 strawberries he dipped into the fountain. Getting in and out of the Marriott especially around theater Times was difficult - try and go a different time.
