from Molokini & Turtle Arches Snorkel Cruise
This 'double the fun' excursion includes snorkeling at Molokini Marine Preserve plus a second snorkel stop at Turtle Arches, a dazzling reef off Maui’s south coast known for its underwater lava arches and large resident population of green sea turtles. Pacific Whale Foundation’s certified marine naturalists give a free guided reef tour to point out sights you could easily miss on your own! We also include all of the snorkel gear, reef safe sunscreen, "learn to snorkel" class for beginners, and a Jr. naturalist program for kids. Each party receives a complimentary color guide, "Enjoying Maui's Unique Ocean Environment" and free dolphin or sea turtle poster. Rash guards are also available for rent (cash only).

Molokini is a world class snorkeling environment inside the protective ring of an ancient volcanic crater, where over 250 marine species thrive in crystal-clear Hawaii waters. The islet's arc shape, the fact that there is little or no soil to run off into the sea, and the relatively shallow, protected waters combine to offer an incredible Maui snorkel experience with excellent visibility. Located just 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui's south shore, Molokini's shallow inner cove provides a unique habitat for fish and coral species, some of which are found nowhere else in the world but Hawaii.

Check in Location: Pacific Whale Foundation Ocean Store at the Harbor Shops at Ma’alaea (next door to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium)

What to bring: Towel, cover up, hat, sunglasses, extra cash for souvenirs, recreational lifejacket for kids 30lbs and less.

Barbeque Lunch: onboard grilled chicken breasts, veggie burgers, or hot dogs with all the fixings, homemade rolls, fresh pasta salad, ice cold soda, juice, and filtered water. Off the Pride of America & transported to our zodiac ride. First stop swimming with giant green turtles. You get up real close but our guides ensure the turtles were respected. Next stop Molokini Crater for another snorkel with abundant sea life. Big bonus on the way back was the Northern Pacific humpback whales who were playing close to the boat as part of their annual migration. The guides were friendly, safety focused and informative. Great day out & highly recommended

We booked this tour on the advice of the concierge at our resort. It is the biggest of the boats that do this sort of tour. Crew was.very friendly and helpful. They serve breakfast fruit eggs and breads and lunch. Both were good. The coffee was awful but the $2 margaritas after the snorkeling were great. I’m only giving it a four because it was not the best of this sort of tour we have done. Would have preferred a smaller group on a catamaran. Our fault for not pushing to book that. It was family friendly. It was a pretty day. We got to see a turtle and lots of fish.

4 hours of coastal tour and snorkeling to boot. Great time, great adventure and great staff. We learned a lot of educational tips on the particular islands we were going to. We saw lots of aquatic life and had a 20-30 pod of dolphins 🐬 show up. Getting to see them in their natural atmosphere was so exciting. They swam with us and showed their skills. Definitely take this tour if you are visiting.

Crew was excellent and a lot of fun - very knowledgeable and engaging Food was fantastic -great continental breakfast and fabulous BBQ lunch Well organized from start to finish Good equipment for snorkeling First spot in Molokini Crater was way too crowded and not much to see. Also very windy for snorkeling in that area. Second stop was beautiful waters, better for snorkeling but NO fish! Didn’t see a turtle all day 😒 Pacific Whale Foundation is a good group for great causes.
