"Large rooms, nice property"
March, 2015
Melia is conveniently located, has enormous apartment-sized rooms on a nice property. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The carpets could use a refresh as there are many stains and frays.

"Nice place to stay near but not in the middle of everything."

Nice kitchenette suite. Functional. The pool area is lovely, but too cool in January to take advantage of. Nice little "island" with a hot tub and LOTS of plants to make it feel tropical islandish. I think kids would have a lot of fun here!. Every pool facing room has a deck or patio that looks out into the courtyard. The restaurant was casual and excellent. Melia has a nice vibe to their restaurants. Would love to be there in the warmer weather and eat on the deck. Definitely get the breakfast included, and you will be well set for the better part of the day. We later had a mid-day meal out, then just light food at night in our suite. Waitstaff were the best. The rooms are very cold and sparsely decorated (one painting) in black and white, as well as cold, hard floors. Furniture is the cheap modern stuff that is so vogue now. It really needs some sheers on the living area glass window/doors. When the curtains were opened, you felt on display to the world - at night, and when the closed, you were boxed in by the heavy plastic curtains. The bed was very very comfortable! Deep but sturdy foam and spring mattress. A big plus. Be sure to ask to not be next to a utility room. (NOT 145A) We were and the furnace coming on and off for every room on the floor was loud. The bed was placed on that wall so that it actually vibrates. And the hard acoustics of the room amplifies the sound. Also, be sure if you have a "pool view" room you can actually see the pool - not the side of the other building, or the top of the pool house. This is not a "resort" though. Not the Melia experience I had down in Nassau. The little details were missing, such as the towels were like scrub clothes, not soft. But they worked. It is a good place for the price. Be sure to check your bill. We had food bought with points, that was not applied, so needed to have that corrected. But overall, it is a lot of value for the money.

"Totally Disappointed with this hotel and staff"

We were excited to book a Melia property in Orlando after staying regularly in European Melia branded hotels. Our reservations were mixed up and then after much overcharging and conflict our room was still not ready to check in to at 4:30 PM. We should have been charged for 1/2 day at that point. Although the property is comfortable it is by no means a resort and the resort fee is ridiculous. I would not recommend it stay here again

Cannot say enough how much I enjoy my stays here. this is the 3rd time and each time seems to get better and better. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and having a kitchen is a plus. having a larger refrigerator allows for drinks and leftovers and even storing food to cook yourself.
