from Medieval Torture Museum
The emotions inspired by the “Medieval Torture Collection” will transport you back in time hundreds of years to some of the most miserable moments in human history.

Our exhibit is a unique presentation that combines academic research with the contradictive, emotionally repulsive draw of a time in history when torture and torment were commonplace.

The “Medieval Torture Collection” reminds us just how much suffering humanity can inflict in the name of cause and justice when the right tools are placed in the hands of fanatics, madmen, and tyrants.

Based on historical documents and engravings, we have amassed an unprecedented collection of cruelty, re-creating the atmosphere that prevailed throughout most of the Middle Ages. For several years, a team of scientists, historians, decorators, and sculptors have worked on creating a unique collection consisting of several hundred pieces filling more than 4000 sq. ft.

Spend an hour here and you will better know the nature of fear.

Are you brave enough?

I'd highly recommend even though it is a bit disturbing. The depravities of political and religious fanatics is on full display.

Morbid. Sad. depressing. But, also fascinating. I think if anything this place serves as a good reminder of how cruel people have been to one another, especially to those with different beliefs, and for that It's educational & highly recommended. *We were here on a really cold day in January. Not too busy. Seemed to have the place to ourselves so we didn't feel hurried. I think this added to our overall experience.

"Waste of money"

Many of the exhibits were duplicated throughout the museum. There wasn't very much information on the torture tactics. They should really give more history, more specific info for each method, and add more exhibits (remove duplicates). I feel like I wasted a LOT of money for my spouse and I to enter this museum, as well as the micro museum. I wouldn't recommend.

Next time we will skip. Interesting things to look at but wasn’t worth the money. Way overpriced for how little to look at. Wouldn’t recommend unless your carefree with money and truly bored.
