It's connected to the DC Convention Center, which is VERY convenient. It's also a VERY large hotel, be prepared for the massive size. The rooms were nice, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, overall the room was good. The two negatives I experienced: front desk had only 2 staff most of the time, and this is a massive hotel - very poor planning, many people were waiting in line for a lengthy period. The other negative was also related to staffing, only one guy at the bell stand early-afternoon, when many people are checking out? Terrible planning. Those two items kept me from giving this 4 stars. But if you are attending a convention at the DC Convention Center, this is a great place.

we had a great weekend while attending weekend expo at the convention center and the location could not have been better with the underground connector which was a blessing in this very cold and snowy weekend weather. the design of the hotel is very modern and dramatic. public spaces are beautiful. we had no problems with our room. it was clean quiet and well equipped. it was facing the atrium but no noise could be heard. breakfast at the m club/ concierge lounge was delicious. we want to commend Rose Prado at Elite Check In desk who gave us a warm welcome and treated us like VIP'S the entire time we were there. She would always go out of her way to be of assistance and is a true credit to the hotel. the only suggestion for improvement would be to provide more than one bar of soap and one mini shampoo per room. that is very little when two people occupy the room. additional toiletries were given to us upon request however.

Such a disappointment! We are long term Marriott users. This is the first time ever that their management has let us down. I requested for a feather free room due to allergies—something I always do. The room wasn’t ready so the told us to go to our room and then call for housekeeping to de-feather our room. Sounds simple, right? We left the room for 3hours and still not taken care of so we called 4xs and was told that housekeeping is not answering so they would call for us. Never happened! We asked to talk to the manager—-but the person was in a meeting. Never a call back so my husband went downstairs to talk with them and they said 15minutes—-they never showed up. This all took place over 4-5hours. Now we are ready to go to bed and can’t keep asking and waiting them because I have to be up for a conference by 5am. The sad part is, no really cared. Each employee didn’t care enough to follow through. I am sure they were passing off our calls to other people once they saw our room number pop up on their call screen. I will be letting our conference folks know about our experience so they can consider this next time. Poor management and uncaring employees. I always pack extra pillow cases to double cover the pillows in case this happens—-never thought I would go through this at a Marriott. Crossing my fingers that I don’t have an asthma attack.

We had a wonderful stay over the holidays and enjoyed our room, the restaurant and the lounge. It was a great stay. The hotel is beautiful and so perfectly located. We walked nearly everywhere we wanted to go in the city. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Business Center is open 24hr. The bar staff is very nice. The breakfast buffet is YUMMY. Great vacation!
