We took some visiting friends with a love of music (and musical talent) for their farewell dinner. We arrived by Uber having been pre warned of inadequate parking. We arrived 15 minutes before opening time and we’re left outside standing in the parking lot by the bouncer before being subjected to airport style security scanning. Our table was at the front by the stage. Two problems with that - the stage has stairs up to a raised balcony & performers parade up and down the stairs. Result? Stiff necks! Secondly, the sound levels are ridiculously HIGH and distorted, totally ruining any enjoyment from the music. We had been advised to take earplugs but they don’t help the distortion. Now, the food. This was served during the performance and the show lighting made it look really weird. My chicken & vegetable soup appeared to be purple! The sight of the food is as important as the taste and so purple soup didn’t help but my Creole chicken dish didn’t taste of anything! Where were the Creole spices? Dessert was a circular “flan” around 2” in diameter like an insipid creme brûlée. Drinks were mainly multicolored cocktails which didn’t seem to have any relationship to alcohol. MY TOP TIP - give this place a miss NEXT TIP - If you must try it miss the dinner, just go for a beer and stand at the bar furthest away from the stage, the sound is a little better there.

I went to this venue for a birthday celebration on a saturday night. The first thing, parking is a nightmare unless you want to add $20 more to your already overpriced night out. The service was get a drink it was faster to walk up to the bar than wait for my server. Prices are high, but i guess you can say that of all International Drive venues. However, the food menu was limited to several things and it was about $50 per person. A bit more than i prefer to pay specially when the food isnt great or good. The shows, some were ok, others were just bad. I probably wont return.

We were in town for a birthday weekend and always wanted to try Mangos. I rate the experience as average and here is why. 1. Entertainment - great dancing and singing. The entertainment was good. My only complaint was that the music was SO LOUD, I couldn't even talk with the person next to me. My ears hurt by the end of the night. 2. Food-average at best. Nothing at all memorable about the food. The feeling was the same among everyone in our group. 3. I paid $30 extra to have the table decorated for a birthday. They put a table shirt on table-plastic(which you can't see at all when your sitting) a small cardboard sign that said "Happy Birthday" and 2 gold foil balloon weights. No balloons or anything. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I did complain to the manager and he promptly offered to refund me for the decorations. He was very accommodating. 4. Lounge/bar- After dinner the place turns into a nightclub. BEWARE - I was charged $23 for a vodka/redbull! When I asked why so much, the bartender told me, that's the price. They measure every pour of liquor. They don't make drinks free-hand. A friend asked for more vodka in his drink becuase it was so weak, the bartender motioned towards a camera and said he couldn't add anything to it. Also, GRATUITY is included on EVERYTHING YOU BUY! The bartenders don't want to give you the receipt for your drinks because they don't want you to see you already tipped, and then you leave an extra cash tip. Conclusion: It was a fun evening for the entertainment, but your wallet will really feel the impact at the end of the night. It's cheaper to party in LA or NYC. They are overpriced and the food is average-at best. We won't be returning.

Visited a couple of days ago with a group of co-workers and really enjoyed the show.. I had the ropa vieja, rice & tostones, and it was really good (Portion was large). The show itself is good, a little of everything.. Would go back for a celebration with family or friends!
