"Not up to Cirque standards"

Having seen 3 other traveling shows I expected this one too far exceed my previous experiences. What a let down. The show started almost 20 minutes late. We we're in the back and staff kept coming and going through a noisy door directly behind us. I was so excited seeing the stage! The production only had a few moments that impressed me. Shadow puppets? Seriously? I am used to being on the edge of my seat...hands sore from clapping so much. Didn't happen with this show.

"Not the cirque level of awesome "

If I had never seen a cirque show, I would likely had given this a 4. But these shows are expensive and although visually stunning, it doesn’t have the same level of unbelievable skills that other shows have. In some shows I can’t believe they are able to do a stunt once in a lifetime, much more every night. This doesn’t have any of that level of performance. It’s easy to believe this level of performers can be found. I went with a group and some preferred this one with a story line. It was entertaining and visually it was beautiful. It just didn’t have that “I can’t believe someone could do that” experience I was expecting.

"Very Disappointed"

We’ve seen multiple Cirque du Soleil shows, both touring and permanent residencies, and this one was definitely a let down. The stage and technical components were amazing, but as several other reviewers mentioned, about 75% of the show is choreographed fighting.... When we come to a cirque show, we expect to be amazed. My husband fell asleep. Cirque is normally amazing. Go see one of the other shows if you have a choice!

"Amazing"

Have not seen anything quite like it. On arrival at the MGM Grand the theatre is on the ground level and easy to find. After being greeted by ushers and a growling dragon, the auditorium was accessible from 18:30. A small bar exists to get drink and salty popcorn. Ushers take you to your seat where you wait for the performance, while we waited performers and ushers mingled. It appeared that all seats had a good view of the performance, we were row p, the view was really great. There is a chance to have your picture taken which we declined. The performance starts with a high tempo and continues throughout. I am not posting details about the performance itself all I can say is the story, acrobatics, the set and moving stage were amazing. A must see event.
