"I found our place in orlando"
November, 2018
I'm terrified of ferris wheels, guys! But let me tell you...the ICON is the most pleasant, most beautiful experience that happened during my orlando trip! At the very top, not only was the view spectacular, but I got engaged last week on the icon. The ICON will forever be our place now and for that I'm so grateful. Totally recommend.

This is definitely a touristy thing to do, but we tried it anyway. Florida residents, military and AAA members get a discount (otherwise $29.99/pp, and $24.99/kids). After you get your tickets, they do a quick scan of your bags, then you get in line towards the cars. They take photos on a green screen so they can try and sell you photos afterwards. They do nice work with all this, but $20/print or more for the booklet isn't worth the monies in this cell phone photo-laden era we live in. Anyway, there are about 30 cars, each holds about 10 people, but if it's not crowded you can get a car for yourselves, which is what we did (an evening ride). Total ride takes about 30 minutes to go around, and it runs VERY slowly. No worries about folks who have fears of heights or the like. It's so accessible you needn't worry about any of that, and extremely solid and safe. Nice views of Orlando, and a nice thing to do if you have an hour to spare. Enjoy!

We decided to do this at night and see all the lights of Orlando. I am scared of heights, so was nervous about it, but had no issues and loved it. You can see for miles- it beautiful. Aprox 23 minutes to go around, o waiting and we had a "car" to ourselves. We will definitely be doing this again.

"Great Ride, Great Views, A Must Do!"

Visited the ICON as an excursion from our cruise ship and thoroughly enjoyed the ride! The gondolas, or capsules, are very large and since it wasn't too busy, our party of three did not have to share with others. My husband is in a wheelchair, and this ride is fully accessible. The rider takes about 23 minutes and the views from the top of just great! I highly recommend taking the ride!!
