"I found our place in orlando"
November, 2018
I'm terrified of ferris wheels, guys! But let me tell you...the ICON is the most pleasant, most beautiful experience that happened during my orlando trip! At the very top, not only was the view spectacular, but I got engaged last week on the icon. The ICON will forever be our place now and for that I'm so grateful. Totally recommend.

This is a nice 25 minute trip around a huge Ferris wheel. I would say it is worth $10 not $30. You should also take binoculars with you so you can see more. We went on a clear sunny day and could see for miles but wish we had binoculars. The cabin is air conditioned and they play music. There are 2 iPads inside with landmarks and details about popular areas like Disney, Universal, etc. they were pretty pointless and didn’t give much information. Would be nice but if there were headphones with someone pointing out sites, etc. It’s OK, the shopping and restaurants around the area are very nice. We would skip the wheel itself and just visited the shops, etc.

Formally named The Orlando Eye, these giant Ferris Wheels are popping up all over. Over the last few years, we’ve tried the London, Vegas and Gdańsk. For $30, you get to observe the sites from 400’ in the air for about 30 minutes - one rotation. On a clear day, you can see the Epcot ball, Kennedy Space Center and a few other attractions Central Florida has to offer. It’s nice to do once.

We truly loved this experience. The individual cars were very steady and secure. We felt safe and at ease to look all over the city. The price seemed high, but it was worth it. The ride lasted at least 20 minutes. Definitely will go back.
