"Over priced and average"

Pretty good location but super over priced. Room is very expensive, requires an additional $150 a night as a deposit. No free wifi, bare essential toiletries and a disgusting bathroom with a gross shower mat. The bottled water in the room is $7. Seems odd to nickel and dime your customers when you already charge at least $200 a night for a tiny room.

"BEWARE: NOT IN BEVERLY HILLS, Stupid Fees, Dark Cell-Like Rooms w Cheap Junk Everywhere"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

Not in Beverly Hills: If you wanted to go to dinner in Beverly Hills you would not be able to walk there and back at night. You would not want to go shopping in Beverly Hills and walk back with shopping bags. Its not walkable at all really. The name is deceptive. Is that legal to do that? I called and asked before writing this review and the woman had no explanation that made sense. Depressing room: In the stock photos the sofa in the room looks like an expensive Mies Van Der Rohe leather sofa but in person its a shimmery grey plastic sofa that looks like something a stripper or prostitute would be lounging on. The headboard in the stock photo looks like carved wood headboard but tap it and its hollow material with fake wood laminate slapped on. If you move in the bed it makes a dinky noise. The wood slab table is also plastic and I think the desk was painted to look like metal but was also plastic! In person the unsettling red door to bathroom was slathered in cheap paint with globs splattered on the door jam and carpet beneath the door. They describe their rooms as artistic and luxurious but it looks like the discount junk from TJ Maxx. Its also not flooded with light like their photos. It was a depressing cell-like room with no fresh air only filtered air from the machine wall unit. Stupid Fees: The hotel is one of the hotels that has adopted the lame 'Urban Fee' 'Resort Fee' practice. Its an obnoxious way of doing business and they act like its totally normal when in fact only a relative handful of hotels are doing this. I am assuming they do it so their hotel shows up higher in the search engine. After fees and taxes the room was almost twice as much as the originally quoted price before booking. Don't look at the first price you see...it will be much more!!! I parked around the corner but other people had complained about a high parking fee so know that as well. They act like you've arrived at some great hotel. Its an old hotel that has been shoddily updated with cheap furniture. There are beat-up old vents by the elevators. There was a mildew smell coming through the vent in my room. My mattress was sagging. There are things that looked left over from when it was a cheap chain hotel. The building is a depressing old building from the 60s or 70s that looks like a retirement home. All the LED light strips in the lobby don't change the room upstairs that was depressing. If you are visiting Beverly Hills please shop around for other places. You could be anywhere inside there. You will have a much more exciting stay at literally dozens of other hotels which are either worth the money to spring for a better value for your money.

"Very Nice"

Liked everything. Location, ambiance, service. The lobby is very pretty and our room was nice as well. We checked in late and could get a nice meal downstairs. I liked the idea of opting out of maid service for a $10 credit on a meal.

"Disappointed- not ideal for family "

We were visiting from the UK and our travel agent booked us into this hotel for an overnight in LA. The hotel is undoubtedly attractive. The lobby area and pool was stylish. We arrived early but were still able to check in which was great. We were disappointed with the size of the room but the main issue was that there were no coffee making facilities within the room. We paid a room fee which didn’t seem to offer much. WiFi and drink facilities are standard in the U.K. and we did not seem to really benefit from anything extra for this cost. We did not use the restaurant so did not use our discount. There was free coffee available in the lobby in the morning. The other thing that was irritating was that the hotel is located in area where there was little available to do. It was predominantly hotels and condos. There was no information in the room about local facilities and the only things that were in the room was a selection of drinks and snacks which could be purchased (which were not cheap!) Having spent time in other hotels in California, we rated this hotel as the worst overall. I also found quite a lot of dust lurking behind the furniture so it had not had a good clean for a while. The pillows were a bit pathetic but the toiletries were lovely.
