Description

from Hoover Dam “VIP” Tour
Located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam is the highest structure of its kind in the world. It is an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for it's illustration of man's outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of great heights on the chasm's sheer walls.

This tour includes the Visitor Center and Historical Displays, views from the “interior” base of the dam into the Generator Room, the fascinating Hoover Dam Movie, with ample time for breathtaking views from the Top of the Dam, Lake Mead, the world's largest man-made lake, the eastern edge of the chasm in Arizona where you have fabulous views of the dam including Lake Mead. In addition, there are wonderful photo ops of the new Hoover Dam Bridge. Before returning to Las Vegas we stop at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet grass.

Tour Includes: Unlimited Bottled Water & Snacks.

Tour Times: Pick Up 12 PM to 5:30 PM

We where with just a very small group of 3, which almost felt like a private tour. Although the long ride to the south Rim, it is all worth it and our tour guide Bob ensured we had a smooth and entertaining ride! We had interesting stops along the historic route 66 and hoover dam. Bob provided a ton of information during the tour which made our time fly, he is truly a walking wikipedia what a legend! A very highly recommended tour if you are interested to see the grand canyon from las vegas.

was really cold so make sure you wrap up if going that time of year. We were there for nearly 4 hours. We had several stops on the way back. The beauty of being in a smaller group is that stops are really tailored to you and Bob was constantly asking if we wanted a stop. Most of us nodded off on the way back. Yes, it is a long day but believe me, it is well worth it. To drive through some amazing countryside and listen to stories and info given by our 2 wonderful guides was priceless. Thanks, Bob and Team! Sorry, it has taken so long to review. We will use you again..Area 51 here we come lol! xx

"Excellent and Easy Way to See Bryce and Zion Parks"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed March 16, 2019
We visited during a recent spring break trip. We didn’t have a lot of time and didn’t want to rent a car and drive given the potential for bad weather and our unfamiliarity with the area. Our driver Dennis was great- very nice man and knowledgeable of the area. The trip to Zion had to be modified due to a rock slide wiping out a road through the park. We were contacted the night before our scheduled tour with the option of opting out or instead making the trip to Bryce. We decided to go to Bryce. Dennis did stop at the Zion visitor center and allowed us to take some pictures of the area just inside the park. The tour parked at the major lookout posts for short walks and photos. The snow on the ground ( and our lack of appropriate winter hiking footwear) kept us on the sidewalks precast paths- but it was still so worth going to Bryce for the scenic beauty.
