"Ok for conference"

It was fine, but the location means you must have a car and parking is an absurd $40/day. Everything on site is similarly overpriced (two eggs boiled in a plastic container at the coffee shop for $17!!). The rooms and grounds are a bit tired but clean. The staff were lovely and helpful, and it was a quiet and comfortable sleep.

"Will never come back"

I could not be more disappointed in my stay here. My boyfriend and I booked a two nights stay here, going off of a couple reviews and photos from the hotel's website. The pictures were VERY misleading to say the least. The room was nice, but everything else was a joke. The outside of the hotel is extremely outdated, the restaurant is not as nice as it looks and very expensive. We were woken up both morning by the construction that was going on near by (I guess they are renovating other rooms). The staff wasn't very nice on the phone when we ordered drinks from room service. Everything at this hotel just needs to be updated. You really don't get what you pay for. I highly recommend staying somewhere else. My boyfriend and I could not be more disappointed of our stay. I will never stay here again.

"Friendly staff, needs major updating "

I selected this hotel when in San Diego on business for one night and noticed that just about every other hotel near the city center was ridiculously expensive; there must have been something going on in-town mid-week. I did wonder why it was far less expensive than other properties located in or near the city center, but I went with it. Pros: The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. And I did appreciate the chocolate bars I got upon check-in with custom wrappers thanking me for being an Honors (Gold) member - lovely touch that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Location was a quick Lyft from both the airport and the location I was hitting in Little Italy. Cons: There’s a reason it was so much less expensive than other properties - just be aware. During the long walk to my room across this sprawling resort, I was getting motel vibes. Most, if not all, rooms I passed had sliding doors that opened up to a tiny patio on the ground floor, or balcony on the second floor. Lots of people had their curtains open and you could see everything going on in their rooms. Sure enough, my room, a standard King unless I was upgraded and they didn’t mention it, had motel smell when I opened the door. Maybe from the carpet? Not sure, but the rooms themselves, or at least mine, could use some major updating. This would have been a 3.5 (wish TA allowed half ratings), but the staff is why i rounded up. Extra points to the bartenders who handled the obnoxious conventioneers well when they were upset about the 10p last call.

"Overpriced and quality issues"

We had issues with things not working in our room. Shower/bath seemed old and dingey. Toilet did not flush properly (this did not get fixed during our 5 night stay after we reported it the first day). No vent fan in bathroom, or it didn't work. Staff was friendly and helpful in general. Food in the restaurant was mediocre quality. Beer selection in the bar was lousy and the food and drinks were way overpriced. I was giving them a 2 star rating when the feedback email they sent me asked me to rate them on tripadvisor. When I did so, it wouldn't let me click on "submit" because it was only 2 stars. It would only let me click the "skip this step" button. Shame on you Hilton. So I came directly to tripadvisor and downgraded them to 1 star. I will look for other brands to stay at from now on.

"Beautiful location and amenities"

My husband and I came here for a 3-day business meeting. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. We walked in both directions on the “boardwalk” and there were plenty of places the kids could have played if we brought them with us. The gift shop stayed open late but the coffee shop closed pretty early. We also enjoyed sitting outside on our room patio and near the restaurant. A great way to enjoy the California weather.
