"Great hotel in a beautiful building!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

The St Jane hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve every stayed in. If you like architecture or are a history buff in any way I definitely recommend staying here. It’s in the amazing Carbide & Carbon building and the rooms fit the Art Deco style of the building very well. Especially the lobby makes you feel like you’ve accidentally walked into a “The Great Gatsby” movie set. The hotel itself has just been remodeled I think and everything is nice and clean. My room had a comfortable bed, a coffee maker, mini fridge, tv with Netflix etc, and a good shower. A nice detail was that they gave you paper coffee cups so you could take a cup of coffee from your room when you go out. Also the location on Michigan ave is basically as good as it gets. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful as well! The room service is kinda pricey but there are lots of good and affordable options very close by. All and all a very nice hotel I definitely recommend staying in when in Chicago!

"Really Nice Hotel"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

I visited this hotel when I attended a conference in Chicago. This hotel was once the Hard Rock Hotel. Now it is better. I visited the hotel right after their soft opening. I didn't notice any glitches. I did have to request a small trash can but that is a very small oversight. The hotel is very chic and modern. It's in a great location. All the people at the front desk were so nice and attentive! I loved it! The outside of the building is black and gold and it is located on the corner. Very convenient.

"1st Anniversary"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Took my wife to Chicago, my hometown, for our 1st wedding Anniversary. It was her first time in Chicago. I called the day before to let the hotel know we would be in around 9am, Jan 10th, because we caught the redeye flight in. I was told they would store our luggage until check in, so we could begin our exploration of the city. Well, we arrived and to my pleasure they had a room waiting for us at 9am. The staff were very nice, I wish I could remember the young ladys name but she was awesome. We went up to our room on the 22nd floor and we were very happy with the big room and the nice view looking north towards the river and the 360 observation tower. The room was very clean, a large clothes armoire, (the light wasn't working properly), TV with a welcome message for us, very nice bathroom/walk in shower, and all the little extras. the staff even had a signed anniversary card with some treats on the table. A very nice personal touch. The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to most everything near the loop. It was between 20 and 30 degrees most of the time and snowed on Saturday, otherwise we would have walked everywhere, but the train and bus system was close by, as well as Uber. We spent the next four days enjoying my beautiful city and at night got to fall asleep in the heaven of the most comfortable bed and comforter. Some of the best sleep we have ever gotten in a hotel. And our bed was made everyday and room picked up. Awesome. Blips? just a minor one in waiting for a wine opener to be sent up to the room. it took over 30 min. We were trying to have a pre-drink before our anniversary dinner, but it all worked out. . We never went into the hotel restaurant as I had the schedules already made out for us, but it did look nice. I would definitely return to this wonderful hotel. The staff were incredible. Please keep up the great job.

"NYE - Perfect location and superb customer service!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed January 24, 2019 NEW
A friend and I got an amazing Travelzoo rate, including vouchers for food & beverage for NYE. The Michigan Ave location was waking distance to the restaurant for dinner and bar on Ontario. Beautiful property - Instagram worthy on the first floor - and stylish and clean room. Had a bit of a challenge with room service for breakfast before checking out, but the issue was resolved with an amazingly high level of customer service. Would strongly recommend the St. Jane, and wish them much success!

Imagine you get into a domestic sitation wkth a female acquaintance. Imagine she flips out and goes crazy and puts hands on you. Imagine you do the right thing and call security instead of engaging with her. Imagine chicago police are called to get her out because she wont leave n locked inside your bathroom. Imagine they finally get her out and the problem is resolved. Then imagine the manager of hotel Sean brings back chicago police to kick you out for no reason. You were a victim not a perpetrator of a crime but the management punishes you and makes your life difficult cuz you have to get a new room on a busy saturday nite lugging your luggage down a block. Imagine they still going to charge you full price for the nite even tho it was still early evening when all this happened. Problems cannot be anticipated all the time and when the hotel you paying 200 dollars a room for, doesn't support you when you were attacked in your own room, do you really want to stay there? Would you feel safe staying there? Where you could be victim of some crime and they are going to boot you out onto the street when all you did was follow the law and call security like youre supposed to do?? Sean the manager was also smirking at me when he was kicking me out. The better business bureaux will be being notified as well cuz when you a victim of assault and you get charged a full nite after you get kicked out after you did nothing wrong... Yeah... Dont stay here. They dont have your safety in mind and dont care about leaving you on the street. DONT STAY AT ST. JANE!!
