"OFF Season Stay OFF Season Experience"

We stayed in a nice two bedroom Suite. It was the equivalent of a nice two bedroom apartment. Spacious enough for 6-8 people, a home away from home. The walls and ceilings are thin though and you can hear every movement of people in neighboring accommodations. The unfortunate part is we did stay during the off season. During this time there is absolutely nothing to do at the resort. They host activities but half-heartedly. We went for a Bingo game that we thought was going to last an hour. It lasted 25 minutes. I think the staff ended the game early so they could leave for the evening. The outside pool is closed of course and the inside pool is small-ish. The indoor hot tub was filled with children playing who had nothing else to do. The Activities Center is incredibly small with really no activities as everything is positioned outside which is not reasonable when the weather is cold. Those leading the activities did so half-heartedly. I am a new owner in the Diamond Springs Resorts so I was there expecting a new member orientation. It turned into another attempt at a sales pitch so I felt scammed. No one was on the same page between the hotel staff and the "marketing" staff. Although they say they will assist in fixing things the empathy is feigned. We received a Concierge package with a $153 "value". There was nothing in it but coupons you can collect anywhere. The resort probably has a lot more potential in the summer when the weather is nicer and more of their on-site activities are open and they are staffed fully. We just didn't have the opportunity to witness that.

We own at this resort and enjoy location. 4 bedroom lockoff units are great for family gatherings..If you don't want upstairs downstairs unit, request one level in advance. Nice resort but needs some attention to appliances and kitchen inventories.

"Okay but not great."

The location is the reason we chose Greensprings. It is convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown historical sites. The unit, while not bad, shows age in some areas. All of the living room furniture was uncomfortable and the bed in the Master was worn out and not conducive to good sleep. The wi-fi was absolutely terrible, with only being able to connect 1 day of 7. This resort is a Diamond Resorts property. Do yourself a favor and save a few hours of torture and say "NO!" to sitting through a sales pitch no matter what they offer you to do it. Ownership is not a good value and the sales people are way too aggressive for my liking.

The staff at this resort is very attentive! Each time I called they responded immediately! The resort itself s very nice. I requested an updated room well in advance and did not get it but I believe because I traded into the resort and I'm not an owner at Greenspring specifically. I did make the mistake of doing the suppose to be 1.5 hour timeshare sell because I didn't know that was what I was getting myself into (I know better). I thought I was going to be involved in ideas to make Interval International better (not at all). That's ok fool me once shame on me, lol!! The room was good clean I wanted the Jacuzzi but no such luck and the resort could stand to have some sort of open bar/grill. The resort itself doesn't offer much to do.

If you like to have various options without having to leave your hotel, this a good resort to consider; on site restaurant, tennis courts, mini golf course, swimming pools (one for adults only and another for everyone to enjoy); for the summer you can have your own barbecue in one of the picnic areas; just so many things to do.. Also so close to historic landmarks in Willamsburg and Jamestown..
