"great resort if you don't mind stairs and hills"

I recommend a room with access to the "club." Somewhat fewer breakfast selections but adequate for my needs. The 6 days I visited the club for breakfast, there were yogurts, 1 brick of cheese with a cheese knife, an assortment of crackers, breads and bagels, raisin bread, an assortment of juices from a machine, lox (and capers, chopped onion, chopped egg), yogurt, several cut fruit (pineapple, papaya, etc), pastries, mixed salad greens, sliced tomatoes, oatmeal, 2 hot chafing dishes that varied from day to day ( guava french toast, scrambled eggs). There might have been additional items that I ignored. The club is near the fitness room and spa, has both indoor and outdoor seating (with ocean/garden view), and tends to be quiet and more intimate than breakfast at the large breakfast room. The same "club" offers snacks in the afternoon, hors doevres dinner time and desserts later in the evening. The hours are very specific, so check the schedule if you have club access. One evening we weren't that hungry and just had humus, pita and some vegetables at the club instead of making dinner reservations. The resort had pretty decent live entertainment every night during our 6-night stay. I hear Kauai is rainier than some of the other Hawaiian islands and it either rained or was cloudy much of the 6 days we visited this resort.

I was blown away the instant I set foot in this resort. Gorgeous views, delicious food, and kind, helpful staff. The only downside was that we had to leave! I would definitely recommend this place for staying in Kauai. Definitely kid friendly as well as adult friendly. I could not be more thrilled with my stay.

"Wonderful stay!"

We just spent 3 nights here—it was our first stay here and it didn’t disappoint! The rooms are clean and spacious. The grounds are gorgeous. Staff is helpful and friendly. We didn’t want to leave! The only issue we had was our room location. We had booked Club Level and was given a room that overlooked the waterfall and party area. There was parties 2 out of 3 nights which meant music played all evening—which ruined the peaceful setting of our balcony.

"Wonderful stay in Kauai"

Outstanding service, clean rooms, lovely grounds with lots of bars and places to enjoy delicious meals. We enjoyed the daily activities in the lobby along with the small shops available. We were very lucky to see the whales right from our 1st floor room. If you like the sound of the ocean, ask for an upper floor as that was the only think we missed out on as the weather was beautiful during our stay.

Top notch hotel...the grounds and property are immaculate. Only ate @ the terrace for breakfast and had drinks out @ the pool. The filter water stations were convenient and having bikes to ride as a convenience was really neat.
