"Great family spot!"
January, 2019
Pulled up and I was the only one at check-in!! Got our tickets and extra freebies, headed to the room which was very nice and clean! Water park went well, at times was a little cold and could be a little warmer for the kiddos. It was to cold for me, but did have a nice hot tub! No complaints there. Went to get our free pizza for dinner, fun environment and then we headed to the arcade to play! Tons of things to do!! Next day we went to the pet show, kids loved it. Went and did go-karts and laser tag, worth the money!!!! Very good trip for our “mommy and me” trip!!! My only complaint I had was while going to bed it was like having a toddler on the floor above us and running back and forth for like 2 hours. It was hard for my kiddos to go to sleep as well. But other than that it went great! Hope this helps!!

"Fantastic surprise!"
November, 2018
The room was very nice. The front desk was exceptional! The indoor water park was fun. There was food on the premises so we didn't have to get back out into the traffic. The only thing I could ask for was more parking. The kids enjoyed the cake and popcorn party.

Tip: I had never considered staying here before. When we decided to go to Branson, it was hard to get a room for five people. This popped up on the search and we took it. I am glad we did. Everyone enjoyed the stay. It was worth the cost. The room looked newly renovated. Wonderful staff at all the resort.

"Expected more for the price"
October, 2018
Price was kind of high for what you get.... Hotel was okay, its outdated, could have been a little cleaner. Lots of stuff to do on site, however, it all cost extra $$. Waterpark was okay, my 10 and 7 year old got bored after 45 minutes or so.

The internet is very misleading a lot of little kid play area pools were outside enclosed my daughter was not allowed to go down the slide indoors when she goes down slides at our hometown part that comes out into six foot deep water when there is it's only like a foot deep very disappointed the only thing they had going for our visit was the front desk was very friendly

"Needs updates"
August, 2018
Overall fairly clean. Outside elevator disgusting and we found a roach in our room on the last night. A safe in the room would be nice. Also, a better comforter or bedspread that actually covers the entire bed would be nice. The waterpark really geared toward young kids, not a lot for older kids to do. Kids are allowed in one of hot tubs but workers don’t ensure that they stay out of the adult only one. If you are an adult needing a break from kids, you aren’t going to get it in the hot tubs.

"Awesome place for the baby!"
July, 2018
We stayed for the first time with my 1.5 year old. I was really hesitant on whether or not the park would be worth the money. Definitely was! That is the only thing that kept him busy in the evenings! And he slept like a rock! Too little too enjoy the other perks of staying but we will be back to test those out as well!

"Winter deal was a great value!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed February 12, 2019 NEW
Other reviewers have covered this pretty thoroughly, so I will only add a few remarks. I was pleased the indoor water park seemed to have sufficient people watching the different areas, other than the hot tubs. The water park was more fun on Friday before there were so many people. Saturday was more crowded. There is a pool without a life guard in a separate building. There are about 6 buildings so you walk between buildings. That is not really a problem unless you are wet in winter. I thought the workers were helpful and generally nice. Our room was pretty basic, but clean and included a small fridge and microwave. We had a great time at a very good price.

"Winter package deal"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed February 10, 2019 NEW
We booked the winter getaway package through them direct after comparing what the offered to the groupon deal and was cheaper through them. I knew going in that the pool/water park was not attached to the resort. Check in was very painless and took less then 3 minutes including them explaining the layout on a map. They even were able to provide the rollaway we requested. By the time we got to our room they were there dropping it off. We walked into the first room and immediately smelled burning plastic. I looked at a extension cord plugging the ac/heater into the wall which the plug was coming apart. After deciding that was the burning smell we called the front desk and maintenance was there within 5 minutes. HE pulled he plug and agreed it needed replaced. Well after it was unplugged you could see the plug in was burnt. I checked he plastic was soft it was so hot! Maintenance agreed we needed a different room. He called and told me the front desk would be calling with new room info. 5 minutes later and we rolled our stuff to the other side of the building when the maintenance guy brought our new keys and put the rollaway in for us. The room was clean and no burning plastic this time. The beds and pillows were some of the better ones in a hotel that isn’t twice as expensive. We had enough room for two adults and 3 kids. The room had a mini fridge which was very helpful. The bathrooms were nice and clean and plenty of water pressure. The two nights went off pretty well after we got to the second room. The wife and I did need earplugs until after midnight being on the ground floor from people letting their kids run and yell. The extras of grand country! Our package came with go cart rides for each person, show tickets, mini golf, 10 in arcade, and two pizzas. We used everything. We watched the amazing pets show. It was good especially for free. Even my hyperactive 5 year old was enthralled other then waiting for intermission. Snack prices for the show were high but not unexpected for a show most see free. Our kids loved the go cart ride. I am Shocked I didn’t get talking into paying for a few more rides. We did the black light mini golf. We didn’t use the glasses Because after 4 minutes our heads hurt. It was still a good time and not super difficult even for kids. For free we enjoyed it. Our kids loved all the games in The arcade. Not cheap per game but it’s not a normal occasion for us to go play games. The only downside was waiting in line for 45 minutes for 5 kids to pick out their prizes. No reason one worker should be doing this especially when every kid takes forever to use their 20 ticket! By our turn we pretty much told our kids what to get to leave. The reason most go...the waterpark. As most reviews state you have to walk or park as close as you can and then walk the rest of the way. In February we parked by the lobby and bundled up in coats and clothes and walked. More parking by the park would be awesome but there just isn’t room. Entry was easy. First was trying to find lockers. There are only about 40 lockers! We were able to barely find two in February. Glad it wasn’t summer. They take 2 quarters to release the key. Don’t lock anything in it you need mid trip because you would need another 50 cents after opening it. The bathrooms were not super clean and didn’t have a lot of room for changing. The kids loved the treehouse area. Two of the slides that go outside were closed but I expected that this time of year. Everything was big enough for adults also. The lazy river was ok but very busy. My kids were sad there was no normal pool here but got over it. There is a decent baby little kid area. We made our kids(5,7) stay out of it to leave it for the little kids. Others did not. The biggest disappointment was the hot tubs. There was so much chlorine in them your eyes burned in 2 minutes. The kids were coughing and having problems breathing. We made our kids get out. Hours later our kids were still coughing some and my eyes still burned. I’m guessing someone didn’t know what they were doing or I would have assumed they overtreated due to all the kids in it. If your kids have breathing issues do not let them in the hot tub! So now that you have read all this with some good and some bad I’ll say we would still go back. I would not pay full price. We would take the kids again for another deal. They enjoyed themselves. The wife and I had a good time watching the kids and letting them play. No it’s not perfect but they have a lot to offer right on the property.

After reading so many concerning reviews, I almost cancelled our three fall packages, but I’m really glad I didn’t. We enjoyed our six night stay! The indoor water park was great, and the kids had a blast. Mommy enjoyed many evenings in the hot tub too. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helped us secure discounted passes to Silver Dollar City. I had read poor reviews about check-in, but our experience was great. The kids loved the Amazing Pets Show, and the pizza was delicious! We enjoyed many lunches and dinners with our pizza passes. The Go Karts were a little slow, but they were great for kids. Another silly show we saw was the Comedy Jamboree. The performers were wonderful with the kids, took pictures with them, and signed autographs. We also enjoyed indoor mini-golf. The neon lights and thunderstorms were a cool effect. The arcade was great also. You don’t have to spend a fortune on winning tickets. The kids were actually able to get some cool prizes. A+ arcade. The only time we were disappointed was the last night when the water at the indoor park was too cold. We couldn’t float in the river or ride on the slides that night. We went back to the room. Had the water temperature been that cold the entire trip, we would have been very disappointed and it would not have been such an awesome experience. I’m glad we didn’t cancel because the room was great and the kids loved having their own clubhouse. I hope this review is helpful!

We made the mistake of staying at the Grand Country Inn. While we were there, we decided to fo to the Fun Spot to kill some time. We purchased game cards and to my astonishment, I was charged tax for video games. Wth lol. So we played some games, and when we were through, we took our kids to cash in their tickets. The kids picked out some items. Our daughter immediately changed her mind after choosing something and the worker at the counter said they could not exchange after an item has been chosen. Again wth. So with our daughter crying and upset, the workers continue on. We will never be back to the Fun Spot again.
