Be touched by the magic of ancient Hawaii and its splendor. Feel the touch of Aloha. Experience a Hawaiian luau like no other and discover why visiting Germaine’s Luau once may not be enough.

Let Germaine’s Luau take you back 100 years & 27 miles from Waikiki to our exclusive beachfront property on the shores of West Oahu. "WE HAD A GREAT TIME!"
August, 2018
My only complaint is having to wait for people who were late to their pick up points.
However, once we arrived there (grandma, grandpa and granddaughter) we had a great time. Our bus tour guide was hilarious and the trip there and back flew by thanks to our guide's consummate professionalism.
We especially enjoyed the pig being pulled out of the ground. Me being Mexican-American and my wife Colombian-American, it brought back many wonderful memories when we feasted on lechon at our family gatherings.

"Don't go!"
April, 2018
The place has a tired look and feel to it. My lasting impression is that they charge above average fees for mediocre food, paper plates, the wrong serving utensils used to
serve some of the food, chessy Vegas like show, an announcer who mumbled his way through his announcements, poorly made drinks, and the worst of it all was the disgusting restrooms. Unclean, smelly and in poor condition. The eating area filled with sand was also a turnoff. The luau on Kauai is much better and the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center looks much better.

"Exciting Luau"

We really enjoyed the luau and festivities from the time we got there to the time we left. The dancers and the buffet were great. Our tour guide "Greg" made the bus ride go by quickly with his wit and knowledge.

"LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS LUAU!!"
July, 2016
The Germaine Luau was absolutely fantastic and the best of two luaus that we attended while in Hawaii. We paid a little extra for seats closer to stage, and the one on one service and spacious seating was well worth it. Everything from the greeting as we arrived to the friendly staff was so impressive. The beautiful ocean waves were within just a few feet of your arrival area, make a stunning backdrop for photographs. We absolutely loved this luau and the dancers were amazing and talented. Our 32 year old son was chosen to dance with a female hula dancer, and it was just one of the best times we will always remember. If we ever get to return to Hawaii, we will go back to this luau for sure.

"Aloha Germaine!"
January, 2015
The setting is beautiful for Germaines's Luau on the shore of West Oahu . The show is right on the oceans edge in Kapolei. The sunset was amazing and during the festivities you could hear the sounds of the ocean. They have the most kind and helpful service and everyone makes you feel like you are there for them! The stories told in dance were mesmerizing, we even attempted the hula with them. The smell of the underground oven, roasting the pig, lets you know that you are in for an amazing feast. We dressed up for the occasion and the Luau was wonderful.

The location is really out of the way but once you get there, you forget you’re in an industrial park. You get 3 drink tickets when you purchase the Hibiscus package. The drinks were good and they were enough for the night. You could also upgrade your drinks by buying the souvenir cup that holds twice as much for an extra fee but that would have been a lot to drink for the duration. The seating is on picnic tables and is ok for the time there but any longer and they would be tough to sit at. This venue is on the beach, so wear shoes that you don’t mind getting sandy. I didn’t and wish I would have worn flip flops. The food was good and plentiful. The entertainment was very good but the only reason I am rating this as average is that there isnt enough of the hula dancing compared with the amount of audience participation they have. Could do away with the bus drivers hula and some of the contests and put more hula and education about Polynesian culture back in.

"Fun Evening at a good Luau."
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Since we were visiting from the Midwest, we are glad we picked an evening later in the week to go to this (We had a hard time staying up late). We chose this one over the Polynesian Cultural Center because it was a shorter distance from our hotel. We paid for the bus transportation which saved us money (there were four of us) and the host gets the group revved up. Nice luau that hit all the dances plus some good entertainment/singing/fun (Hula lesson, etc). Food was decent— had all of the traditional items. If you like your cocktails, I suggest you buy a $11 tiki cup from their souvenir store. When you use one of your drink tickets they will fill the entire cup which is the amount of two drinks.

"A do it once experience."

Germaine's was a great way to first experience a Luau, bu it may not be a repeat experience for you. It's a vary commercial feeling experience. We booked the standard package and because the Luau was only about 300 people, our seats were very good. But in looking around, most the seats seemed like they were good, with the exception of a few far side tables that didn't give a good view of the stage. So you may not need to upgrade that package to ensure you have good seats, just be early and the self seating of the standard package will still place you in a great spot. The food was good and the pig was delicious. The entertainment was good as well, but a show that told a story might have been more attention keeping. They may have been telling a story, but during the performance, the MC was drowned out by the music. The drinks were cheap, $5 for the bottom shelf stuff, but frankly, they seemed really weak. My wife did the Germaine's Punch, but that didn't seem any stronger. We did get the souvenir cups from the gift shop to get the taller drinks, so that made the $5 seem like a good deal. The cups they provided were tiny, three sips and it's gone cups, so definitely get the souvenir cups. The picture package was $20 for two photos and a booklet about Germaine's. Not too bad considering how much other attractions charged for their photos. We did the bus transportation out there and it was way cheaper than a cab or Uber would have been from Waikiki. The Uber was in the $55 range in each direction and the bus for two of us was only $40 round trip. Overall it was a fun experience, but I'm hard pressed to say it was worth the $200 we paid. Do it once, but explore other Luaus on repeat trips.
