My daughter and I spent two nights here! AHH--MAZING!! The facility is so quiet and restful. The staff is made of angels who even remembered that my daughter had a big dance audition! They see hundreds of people everyday and they asked her how the audition went!! The room was comfortable. We loved the whole experience!

this hotel has a very good location, and its so close to EATALY! and basically walking distance to malls and shopping areas. it is also close to bus stops and the train station as well. check in was a breeze and the front desk guys were helpful to bring up my food deliveries to my room as well. the standard queen room is nice, clean and spacious for a single traveller with a comfortable bed. big and spacious bathroom. i got a low level room, which is an annoying experience if the bar downstairs has its late night activities going on. So i truly recommend to request for higher level room especially if you are checking in on a thurs, friday and saturday (if you guys do not mind the loud music) Overall, it is a good hotel for its great location and room size and amenities.

This hotel was perfect for my stay. It made my stay in chicago such a better experience. It was near all the touristic spots. Walkable to resturants and shopping areas. The staff were super friendly. Only thing I did not like was the overnight parking fee for each day. I thought it was a bit expensive. The hotel a night was cheaper than most and for such a decorative and well styled hotel was great! The bunkbeds are such a cool touch to the rooms.

"Great place to stay !"

This hostel was an extremely lucky find in a fabulous location within walking distance to Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Although it does offer dorm rooms, there are also private Queen rooms with private bathrooms which is what we booked for our week long stay in Chicago. This hotel is located in a 1927 renovated building in a Bohemian chic décor style. The staff are helpful and friendly, and ensure that your stay is comfortable. Although the Queen room was small with Queen sized builtin bed, desk with chair, built in small closet and separate bathroom – the room was perfect for our needs. The room came with plenty towels, linen, bath robes, hairdryer, iron & board and fabulous smart TV. The room was cleaned every day. Overall the hostel was pretty clean. The only issue we had was the microwave in the guest kitchen, which needed a serious clean. The guest laundry is also found in the basement next to the guest kitchen. One is able to do a big load of laudry for $2, use the drier for $2 and get a small box of washing powder for $1. All very convenient within the same building. The hostel is a 5min walk to the subway (red line) at the Grand/State station so public transport is easy to reach as well as many buses, taxi, uber and shuttles. There is a coffee café with pastries as well as a restaurant within the hostel on the ground level – both options are quite pricey but then one is paying for convenience. The café was very nice with delicious coffee and donuts. The food offered in the Broken Shaker restaurant was made to a rather unusual flavour so we did not enjoy the food there. But there are many restaurants in the area as well as supermarkets including Whole Foods and Jewel Osco in the area with deli options. We spent 7 nights at this hostel and I would definitely return when next in Chicago. Highly recommended.

"Worst Customer Service"

It's a shame that a visit to an awesome city can be tarnished by customer service of one employee. I stay in hotels every week and I have never been treated so poorly at the time of check-in. I booked the room in advance and paid for the entire stay in advance. Due to a late check-in beyond my control, I was told my reservation was cancelled and they were keeping my money. If I wanted to stay there, I would need to book again and pay again. Totally unacceptable treatment. After being up for 24 hours, I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. Instead of trying to work through the problem to find a solution, the hotel employee Jake treated myself and the rest of the individuals staying in the hotel rooms I purchased like absolute crap. His arrogance and disrespect was incredible and I'm still in disbelief about the entire experience. If he is treating us like this, I can guarantee he is treating others like this.
