This hotel is really nice. We stayed two nights just for a little get away weekend needing some fun and a break. We had a private balcony and fireplace. The pool and hot tub are amazing. Also it's just a few minutes walk from the main strip. We ate, shopped, and had a great time. The hotel staff was so nice and personable. We will be staying here again for certain.

Years ago, we stayed at Edgewater and didn't care for the conditions. I'm happy to report that we were very satisfied with our stay this time. The beds were very high off the floor, but comfortable, the room was clean, and we had plenty of linens. Centrally located on the parallel road to the main road, it was very convenient to shops for walking. We'll definitely be back. I am submitting a photo for the view from the creekside.

Pros: location. It is right in Gatlinburg downtown, walking distance to all attractions in Gatlinburg. Cons: - below average breakfast. It is better not to mention “free breakfast” in promotions - the crowd staying here is mostly party people, so it’s always disturbing even late at nights.

"Clean and convenient"

We were happy to find a room here at the last minute for a good price when everywhere else was booked. Love the convenience of the Edgewater so that we can walk everywhere instead of getting the car out. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our only complaint were loud guests in the hallway but we understand that happens at many hotels. Overall we were pleased and would return for another visit.

Since the first impression with the front desk to all that I encountered, everyone was so professional, helpful and just nice making my stay great. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking deck was a little scary when I first went into it, but I found that it had plenty of parking. Thank you to all at Edgewater!

"Great Stay!"

While we have made many trips to the area this was our first in a hotel. The fees for a cabin are just not worth it for a weekend for 2. If we stay in a hotel again it will be at Edgewater. We just felt "trapped" downtown on Saturday without the freedom of backroads from a cabin. A well cared for, older affordable hotel, whose pictures and positive reviews are accurate. People do post negative reviews over their garage. I think they are unfounded. The problem is the lack of courtesy of drivers unable to take their time and park properly. Our first spot was fine everyone in trucks parked properly. The second day a driver parked crooked and I had to climb over the passenger seat to leave. Again this is not the Edgewater's fault it is inconsiderate guests. Don't let reviews about the garage turn you off on them. We almost did and were not disappointed when we decided to stay with them.
