"Good hotel for the price"
July, 2016
The All Star Movies Resort was good. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was always clean. The restaurants were decent and served enough variety that everyone in my family found something to eat. There is nothing glamorous about the hotel but it works if you want somewhere nice and clean to sleep. The pool is fine. There is no slide at the pool but big enough for everyone to enjoy. Overall, it was a good experience but nothing fancy. The one thing you should know is that if you book with reserve orlando, you are NOT eligible for any meal plans because of the contract that reserve orlando has with disney. I'm not sure if you save money or not using the meal plan because we were not eligible. They don't tell you that when you book your reservation.

Great budget hotel. This Disney resorts exceeded our expectations with newly renovated spacious clean room. The hotel gift shop is pretty cool has cheap beer and good wine 🍷 and all the things you forgot to pack. However the food in the food court is poor quality and does get sickening after a few days. So it was Uber Eats for us. I Wouldn’t recommend a Disney meal plan. However the keepable refill soft drink cups are something to consider (for $20 US dollars). The hotel offered us an option that allows you to get Ten US dollars credit per day in exchange for not getting your rooms cleaned daily, which we thought was great, and really helpful when we over spent on our room service. 😅 Also the complementary transportation to Disney parks and the airport is a hassle free way to enjoy the magic Disney has to offer. Happy travels 😊

We are staying hat the Disney All Star Movie Resort-Feb 16 2019 for 3 nights- and are in the Fantasia section which is the most convienient section in my opinion. It has a large pool featuring Mickey spouting water and is central to everything including the restaurants, Gift shop, concierge, ect. I have a third floor-top floor as all floors are three stories high-room overlooking the pool area- room 5903. I wanted a ground floor room but was too late in reserving a months earlier. There are elevators so it's not a big deal. The room is decorated with Disney pictures and the beds are very comfortable. The room is clean and has all the usual bath soaps shampoo and even conditioner which I really liked because some hotels don't give conditioner. It has a mini fridge - I strongly suggest bringing some water and your favorite drinks because one small bottled soda is nearly $4.50. For $15.00 you can buy a Disney cup which you can refill for the length of your stay with soda. I'll be honest the food is expensive and just ok. Pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, cheeseburgers are some of the food items offered. I bought two smal cups of soft serve ice cream and one small bottle of orange juice and it cane to $20.00. The hot dog I bought was over $11.00 but is huge and ccmes with fries. With a large family you could spend more on lunch than your Disney tickets! You'll find the same high food prices in Disney parks. There is a McDonals locates just before the entrance to the All Star Hotels. But who wants McDonalds every day? There is a very convenient complimentary shuttle bus that comes every half hour back and forth to the parks. There is a laundromat. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly at the All Star Movie Resort. I give this hotel a 5 star because I really have no complaints except the high food prices but that's to be found everywhere at these parks and for the price you pay compared to the prices at the Polynesian or Contemporary or the other high end hotels - this is a great deal! I would stay here again- but I would start a diet before I arrive the next time!

My second time staying at a Disney All Star resort. This time I had a “preferred” room so I was very close to the front desk/restaurant area which was incredibly convenient for catching the buses to the parks! I did utilize the pool the first day and found it very relaxing. My room was in the Fantasia section with a remodeled version with a murphy bed which was nice as it was just me and they had the desk down instead of the second bed. All the staff was very friendly. I opted out of the housekeeping so I received a $40 disney gift card electronically and used it for souvenirs! Love having the convenience of the magic express, transportation to and from the parks and disney sprigs, extra magic hours, using my magic band for payments since it was linked to my room/credit card. The only negative was my neighbors were loud and woke me up and you could hear noise from outside as well. Will definitely stay again!!

Recently stayed at All Star Movies for the UCA Cheerleading Championship. Ended up having several girls get the flu the day we arrived. The hotel staff was very accommodating. Cleaned the rooms several times a day when requested, and provided a free shuttle to an urgent care.

There is a lot to be said. No Microwave. Very small fridge. Charged me for parking, that made me angry as I am already paying to stay in a very small room. The workers vehicles were so loud. I found the bed to be on the uncomfortable side and I did not sleep well. I did not think that there were enough staircases for the size of the building. Our first room had a plumbing issue and the tub started backing up with debris filled water when another room flushed the toilet. They found a room in another building that we had to move to in the dark with no sense of direction. The front desk told us the new building was near the pool, but we did not know where the pool was. When we found the room they were cleaning it so we had to wait some more. The front desk on check in offered a gift card if we did not want housekeeping for the duration of our stay and then they did not give it to us. Overall, I found staying at Disney World Resort All Star Movies very disappointing.
