"Pop Century is full of Pop Value"

This was our 1st time staying at Pop Century and we were very impressed. I have stayed at different Disney resorts over the years in different price categories. This trip I wanted to stay 11 nights so it made sense to save money on the hotel room. I booked thru Mouse Fan travel and got a standard view room for $107.00 per night. My main request was a ground floor room. Pixie dust was sprinkled on us because we got a ground floor room in the 60's building right on Hourglass lake. What a great view & location. The grounds are beautiful and all of the pop culture icons add such a fun theme to the resort. We loved the refurbished room. There is so much storage & we loved the snack area in the room for making coffee with the nice glass door fridge. We were very happy with the bus transportation, most of the time there was only a wait of a few minutes, and in the mornings at park opening when there was alot of people waiting and filled up a bus, another bus was there. We will definitely stay here again, you cannot beat the value for the price of the room.

"Marred by large groups"

We have stayed at Pop Century six or seven times in the last fifteen years. We love the newly-designed rooms, the well-maintained pools, and the friendly staff. The landscaping has gotten more lush over the years. This time our visit was marred by large groups of student cheerleaders who made a lot of noise, screaming and shouting in the area outside our room, past 10 pm at night. The first night we tried to ignore it. The second night we called the front desk when the noise went on past 10 pm. The desk clerk apologized and said they would send security. The noise died down about fifteen minutes later. The third night the same noise started up. We waited until 10:30 pm and then called the front desk who again apologized and sent security. We are in our sixties and have never complained about other guests at any hotel. Never thought we would have to at a Disney hotel. We are older and travel with our handicapped daughter. However, we met a couple with younger children on the bus one morning who were also unhappy with the noise from the large group. If Disney/Pop want to accommodate large groups like the cheerleaders, we hope they keep them from negatively impacting the experience for single-family travelers. Taking off one star for the noise problem.

We stayed a week. Clean and quiet for sleeping. Huge food court with lots of options (of course being Disney prices are too high). The grounds are decorated with all things from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Fun to walk around and remember.

"Great value, lovely resort"

We stayed at the Pop Century last week. The room and amenities you receive for the price are excellent. I could see this hotel being great for a family who wants to Do Disney the right way but not spend thousands just on a room. We had a few issues but nothing that would make me change my review from excellent to just good. We arrived early and left our bags with luggage services. We were promised that our bags would be in our room just as soon as our room was assigned. Our room was assigned at about 10:30 AM and at 6:00 PM our bags were still not in the room. When we arrived to the room the location was excellent and close to everything but the cleanliness was disappointing. The bathroom was full of hair both in the bathtub and scattered through the floor. Yuck. We called to the front desk and were promptly offered a room change. This room was in the 70s - location not as good but still decent. This room was definitely cleaner although there was still a random yucky thing on the floor that simply needed a good scrubbing to take it off. I always fear that if you complain too much at Disney you’ll be put on their rumored naughty list or something so we didn’t say anything. Overall they’re so great at everything that we wouldn’t want to ruin our chances at future trips! The employees at this resort reallllly stood out to us - wow how friendly! From the woman at the front desk who helped us change our card on file to the AMAZING bartenders at the poolside bar. They made a 2 night stay feel like a true getaway. I do wish the pool would have stayed open later. We had lovely weather and I know lots of ppl were disappointed to have to leave the pool so early. I also would have liked to have seen more options in the on location store. It feels like there is a lot of unused space. Something like the store at Sport hotel would be amazing. Overall our stay was excellent except for the minor hiccups. We stayed in the Cabins last year and would choose pop century over those cabins any day. This is an excellent value hotel and still very disney. While you have a smaller room you are not giving up anything in terms of level of service (except maybe an exceptionally clean room.) even the food options are great with there being something for everyone. oh and one other thing.... the bathrooms have pumps of shampoo conditioner and body wash bolted to the wall. I hope this is only a value hotel thing. We will be back next moth to the boardwalk hotel and I really don’t pack toiletries because of how much we like the Disney ones. I missed the bar soaps and lotions that we’ve become accustomed to.

We had a great time in March 2018 in the new renovated rooms. The new layout makes enough room for everything you need. Definitely just a plus being at Disney. I hope for many more trips to come. My family will hopefully get to go back within the next year.
