This resort is near Hollywood Studios offering white sand beaches, a zero-entry pool and a shipwrecked play area for kids. The pirate-themed room was unique and fun. In addition, the resort had complimentary shuttle service to all the parks. Book a Disney Resort and receive MagicBands for free!

I stayed here on 01/11/01/14/2019. Most of the construction is done now and the resort is gorgeous. It is so nice now to have all the food, shopping and check in all in one place. The bar at the main pool is amazing and you truly feel like you are in the Caribbean. This is the 4th time I have stayed at this resort and it will continue to be my go to when not using DVC points to stay.

We stayed here as a family of five. I will start with the positives and say our children really loved the place. Check in etc was really easy and the staff are lovely, we can't fault any of the interactions were had with any members of staff. We were always made to feel welcomed and special which is lovely! The food court has a decent choice but you do sometimes have to wait for a table. But, urgh the room. The smell as we entered ours was horrible. Musky and dirty smelling. Although I will be fair and say the room was actually spotless! It was so dark though, everything was dark and depressing! The window was tiny so no natural light to even brighten it up. I know it's not a big thing but when you're staying in a really dark and gloomy hotel room for two weeks it isn't nice. Also our room was quite a distance from anything so if you forgot to get a drink etc it was a nightmare to hike back! I expected more from Disney not only because it's Disney and everything is meant to be magical but also because of the price!! This place isn't cheap.

"Definitely not up to Disney standards"

We just stayed with 6 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 4. We had three pirate themed double bed rooms in Trinidad building 37. The rooms smelled of mildew and were dirty. Check in is at 3:00pm and one of the three rooms wasn’t ready at 5:00pm. Despite two phone calls stating that housekeeping needed to “turn it over” in their system, we were still with out a room when we needed to leave for our dinner reservation at Disney Springs. This meant that our luggage hadn’t arrived. Another of our parties bags hadn’t arrived either despite checking in and bell services said it was still at the airport (at 5:00pm when our plane landed at 11am!) our carpets were dirty with jelly beans and crumbs left behind by previous guests. We didn’t want to walk barefoot in the room all week. I emailed the resort manager as a letter in our room indicated to do so if there were any issues and I never received a reply. Ever. The report felt like an old motel and not a Disney endorsed accommodation. We would never return to this resort and would consider staying off property in the future.

"Family Vacation "

This is the 3rd Vacation at Disney, overall this place was the worst to date. We requested the rooms with Pirate ships and they are nice for the kids, this means you stay at the Trinidad portion of the resort. The large pool is a bit of a walk but there is a small grill close by. Our two issues were bus service and room service. You have to call for room service each day or you did not get your room cleaned. The 2 times they showed up on there own was during the kids naps and even with the do not disturb sign posted they decided to knock. We found the bus service was not very good, on 2 separate days we waited for an hour to get a bus to the parks. We attempted to do Magic Kingdom early access and could not get a bus until 8am we were at the bus stop at 7 am. This is not acceptable and when they do extra hours you should not see 3 buses to another park show up when they are not even open until 9 am. I would also say the food at the resort was average, I was not impressed with the food court.

"Affordable/Good Services"

This is an average, affordable resort with great customer services. The reason I gave 3 stars, because the room is a little outdated especially bathroom, lighting and soundproof, but the beds and pillows are very comfy. From our room to the main lobby was very far away. We only went there for breakfast and checkout, I wish they had a quick shuttle or golf cart services around. We didn’t spend much time and enjoy the pool at the resort, because the cold weather that week. Over all, we shall return again after they finished the renovation.
