from Branson's Dinosaur Museum
Over 50 life-sized dinosaurs are displayed, from the very smallest creature, a 1-foot Microraptor, to the towering 42-foot tyrannosaurus rex that stands about two stories high. The models were made by paleo-artists who fashioned molds from the original dinosaur skeletons and then created the bodies.

All of the dinosaurs have descriptive details and visitors may take as long as they like on the self-guided tour. Pictures are encouraged. There is a learning center with video, a fossil exhibit, and gift shop as well.

The Dinosaur Museum is located on Hwy 76 next to the World's Largest Toy Museum and across the street from Bigfoot Fun Park.

"Loved Dinosaur Museum"

My grandsons, age 6 & 9, loved the dinosaur museum. It was very educational. I loved the quiz sheet that had us searching for answers. We will visit again.

"Calling all junior paleontologists"
August, 2017
Our 3 year old son was very excited to visit Branson's Dinosaur Museum. He loved wondering through the life-sized models. Learning about the dinosaurs. Seeing the artist's interpretations. Playing in the sand to find fossils.

From dinosaurs, sharks, snakes, scorpions and volcanoes, dinosaurs are by far our boy's favorite! Just last night he was explaining how large carnivores ate herbivores and smaller carnivores. Branson's Dinosaur Museum was a great place for our budding paleontologist.

"Dino Heaven"
July, 2016
I read some of the other reviews before we went so I was prepared for a the warmer atmosphere and self paced stroll thru the facility. We arrived a little after 9:30AM so it was not too hot, and it was open and had a few families already touring.
The kids were immediately enthralled with all the huge dinos out front and the souvenirs to buy. but we kept them on task. I wish we had gone slower and read the info pages, but the kids were too excited to see everything. I took lots of pictures and enjoyed the movie. It was a fun experience. Hard to go backwards if another family is coming thru, so make sure you see it all the first time. We didn't stay to color, I forgot to ask and they didn't offer. But the kids enjoyed every minute. I wish the 'theater' sat more people. Our family pretty much filled it with just the 5 of us bc of the way the seats are arranged. But by the time we were ready to move on another family was ready to view so it was fine. Big groups will have to stand to view.

Tip: Booking online was super easy! I just showed my receipt and started my tour! Go early in the day if it's hot outside, that building is huge inside and hard to keep cool.

"Late Start"

Got up early, the door said they opened at 9 that Sunday but we waited for 20 minutes before they unlocked the door. At that point we didn't have enough time to even go and explore and we didn't even bother going in, our schedule was too busy.

Ok, hear me out. We have a 4 year old and a 1 and a half year old that absolutely love dinosaurs. We went thru the museum in about 25 minutes, because of course we're not reading the information. My boys loved seeing all the life-sized dinosaurs. At the end, they had a movie room showing a documentary on dinosaurs. They could also dig in the sand to find fossils. And coloring pages for the kids too. If you have little kids that love dinosaurs, it's worth a stop.

We were there for a little over an hour, we had to point out things that our daughter, that loves dinosaurs, would have missed. This slowed her down and made the visit longer and more educational. There is a movie you can watch on the life of dinosaurs.

Wasn’t great, wasn’t awful. The whole place has awful lighting. The exhibits seemed cheap, using hot glue to add the plastic plants and the info sheets looked like they had been printed that morning and hastily added to each exhibit. Tickets were around $10 and I’m glad they weren’t more because they were hardly even worth that.

Not sure I would spend to see this again. The tour wasn't too expensive, just not much there to see. We made it through in about 30 minutes taking our time. No coupons or discounts other than senior citizen. Not too much to see. Nothing really catching or intriguing. I'm not sure how it is still going. We were the only people there and no one coming or going. Very small. It is wheelchair accessible.

Not a science museum with actual skeletons, but the 6-year old kid really enjoyed it. Took us about an hour to go through. Museum was clean and well kept.
