I brought my marching band up for the Gatlinburg Christmas Parade in December, 2017. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful is getting everything set up for us. This place is awesome, the kids loved it, my parent chaperones loved it, even my bus driver loved it. You can't pick a better place to stay!

We come every year around Christmas time. We love the clean and friendly staff. Our children love the free apple cider and cookies. The hotel provides a different variety for breakfast. I was very impresses as well when we received a returning discount without even asking. :-)

I stayed in late January and was looking forward to a mother/daughter weekend of playing cards and watching basketball games in our room with the fireplace roaring. When we arrived at the hotel the checkin went smoothly. We got to off the elevator and were hit with the smell of fresh paint on the 4th floor. I knew they had remodeled 2 weeks before so it surprised me that it smelled so strongly. On the way to our room we noticed that the painters tape was still present in the hall and at the bottom of the doors. We arrived to our room and the paint smell was much stronger. We are sensitive to chemical smells so this was very frustrating. It was in the 30s outside so we could not vent out the room. The beds were comfortable and the shower was very nice. However, when I tried to use the hairdryer sparks came out and smoke. A housekeeper brought us a portable one to replace. We settled in to play cards and watch games and were surprised to see the sports channels were not working. We contacted the front desk and they said someone was looking into it. We called the next day and were told the same. No one ever fixed it and their attitude was very matter of fact. We left to go watch it at a nearby restaurant instead of being able to stay in our room. The rooms have little soundproofing and we could here kids running down the hall and vacuuming upstairs and next door in the early morning hours. We coughed all weekend due to the smell of the paint and would surely never stay here again as it was not relayed to us that it would be an issue when we booked. We will go to another hotel next time.

"Love This Lodge"

This lodge is an excellent place to stay when visiting Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is well maintained and has just gone through some recent facelift changes. My wife and I first visited this lodge on our 25th anniversary and have been back every year since with family and friends. We just celebrated our 30th and stayed 4 nights. I highly recommend this lodge. It is located on the "East" end of town, I'll call it, at the entrance to the National Park. Best points: Easy to get to. When the traffic on the main street in town is bumper to bumper, I take the bypass to the East as I arrive from Pigeon Forge. Then all you have to do is enter Gatlinburg from the East side and you are there. The lodge is a left turn at the first traffic light for Ski Mountain You can walk from the lodge to all the great attractions in Gatlinburg. Whether you walk the main strip or take River Road to avoid the crowd it is easy and safe walking. Great food is within easy walking distance. The main strip is one block over. They provide a complimentary breakfast room that has just changed it's menu. Now offered are cereal, muffins, and microwave biscuit fare. Juices and coffee too. I'll have to say this would be the only disappointing thing I can say. Previously, they had the more typical waffles, breakfast meats, and such that you find in most mid-priced hotel chains which while more difficult to maintain and provide was a big plus. The replacement is just "adequate" and not as memorable. In any event you should not let this deter your decision to stay here. It's still A+ accommodations in my book. I shall return again!

"Perfect combination of beauty, comfort, and price. We loved it!"

Both the decor and the staff were warm and welcoming, and the fresh baked cookies didn't hurt either! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful little view of the river. A short walk to Ober Gatlinburg and all the restaurants we wanted to try, it was a perfect place to stay. We parked our car and didn't get back in it until time to leave. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and the price was right too!
