Reserve Direct Expands Hotel Connectivity Via Sabre Synxis Integration

St. Louis, Missouri – January 25, 2017 – Reserve Direct, providing travelers with tickets to theme parks, shows, tours, activities, and attractions for various vacation markets in the U.S., today announces the completion of its API (application program interface) integration with Sabre’s hotel reservation system, Synxis.  The interface enables hotels to dynamically manage rates and inventory on Reserve Direct through their own central reservation system.  This seamless connectivity eliminates extranet management and improves the overall booking experience for travelers.

Sabre, a leading hospitality solutions provider to over 35,000 hotels worldwide, offers its Synxis services in various bundles to hotels to manage anything from central reservations, channel management, and distribution to property management and call center services as well as hotel website booking engines.  The cloud-based, SaaS (software as a service) solution allows hoteliers to connect with multiple channels such as Global Distribution Services, Online Travel Agencies, and call centers, using a simple interface for less-labor intensive channel management.  Of the 35,000 hotels, Sabre boasts that over 125 franchises use their services to manage reservations.

Benefits of this connectivity for Reserve Direct and its hotel partners include improved up time for new hotel products, increased accuracy and dynamic delivery of reservations, and less overall management.  Additionally, hoteliers are able to set rate programs specific to Reserve Direct’s  packaging-based services.  With the Synxis connectivity in place, along with other channel management services like EZ Yield and TravelClick, Reserve Direct now provides hotel partners connectivity with the leading channel management solutions available in the marketplace.

Reserve Direct, a leader in travel reservations and booking solutions for travel suppliers for 13 years, honored Diana Coleman Kersh March 1st for 10 years of service to the company. Diana, Reserve Direct’s Senior Market Manager, started with the company in March of 2004 and is the second employee to reach a ten year work anniversary.

Diana started as the Market Manager for Reserve Direct at its first destination in Branson, MO, coming to the job with nearly a decade of experience in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Her industry knowledge and drive made her an integral part of the then-small company. As Reserve Direct grew to include 10 destinations Diana was responsible for training new Market Managers and was an energetic component to the ongoing expansion of the company.

“Diana has been instrumental in the growth of our company through her long standing relationships in the travel industry and assume-the-sale approach,” stated Reserve Direct President John Johnson. “Her experience and nurturing manner has also developed well to suit her role guiding all of our market managers. We’ve been lucky to have her onboard.”

Promoted to Senior Market Manager in 2011, Diana now oversees several destinations and Market Managers, providing training, management, and expertise while still serving as the Branson Market Manager. She is an active member in state and local attraction associations in Branson and several other destinations.

Diana said “Being part of the most advanced technology reservation company in the world and having an opportunity to work with all types of travel suppliers – hoteliers, shows, attractions, chambers and associations – in the progressive Internet Sales Market is what makes my career so dynamically rewarding.”

Reserve Direct congratulates Diana on 10 years of dedicated service.

As travel company Reserve Direct celebrates 13-years of providing travel reservations for customers and booking solutions for travel suppliers, it is also celebrating another milestone— it’s first 10-year employee. Ashley Dickey, Reserve Direct’s Destination Content Manager, started with the company in 2003 and, besides the three owners of the company, has been the longest running employee to be part of the growth of the company over the bulk of its history.

“Ashley started with us as a customer service representative and quickly became a valuable part of the call center team,” said John Johnson, President of Reserve Direct. “So we offered her a full-time position and she flourished from there.”

Ashley was promoted to Destination Specialist, where she began generating content for all of the Reserve Direct destination Travel Guides, focusing on news, events, and travel tips.

After completing a B.A. in English with an emphasis on Literature and Mass Media at Missouri State University, Ashley was promoted to Destination Content Manager, the position she currently holds. This new job gave her greater control over the content generated on all of Reserve Direct’s websites. Ashley has been instrumental in leading content creation for products, blogs as well as social media and product reviews.

“Ashley has taken her in-depth travel experience and turned it into experiential content, giving our customers inside information to make their trips better,” said Kevin Weidemann, Creative Director. “Our customers really get a sense of what to do when they visit, and that’s part of the reason why they choose to book with us.”

“I started with Reserve Direct, thinking it was just a job to benefit my college education. I soon found I was part of a small business on the verge— and I was excited to be involved.  Over the years, Reserve Direct has continued to grow, and the evolution of this small business has been inspiring,” said Dickey, upon reflection of her tenure. “It has given me creative and intellectual freedom while also instilling a family and community-like environment in which I thoroughly enjoy to work.”

Reserve Direct congratulates Ashley on 10 years of dedicated service.
